A. I like a hybrid type. Gel with outer hard case. Not sure what's available for your phone.
BYOP Straight Talk Question?
Q. I currently have a straight talk phone (Samsung Galaxy Precedent). I want to buy an unlocked iPhone and put it on Straight Talk. Is it possible to keep my same phone number that I already have for my Galaxy phone? I tried looking it up but all I find is that you have to purchase airtime and the SIM card. I already have airtime though. So basically, is it possible to keep my phone number and not buy airtime to use an iPhone?
A. Since the Galaxy Precedent is a CDMA phone (which uses Sprint's network on Straight Talk), you would have to buy a SIM card for your iPhone (which is a GSMphone ) ($15 from Straight Talk) and then have the number on your Precedent transferred to the new SIM/iPhone. You would also have to make sure you but the SIM the is compatible with AT&T (they offer 2 kinds, one for T-Mobile and one for AT&T). I would probably try to do the switch near the time your monthly airtime expires on the Precedent just in case. Otherwise you would have to buy an airtime pin # (online with Straight Talk or with Walmart).
Help, my phone got wet and isn't working..?
Q. Long story short, my phone, a Samsung Galaxy Precedent, got wet today and didn't let me unlock it since it is touch screen. About 2 1/2 hours later, I was able to unlock it, but it wouldn't respond to any of the lower features, like the call button. Plus I can't type to text anyone. I can call if I go through contacts, but I would like to be able to text and use my instagram and facebook apps, which are impossible to use without full use of the screen.
Does anyone know what I could do to fix it and be able to use my entire touch screen?
A. Take your phone apart and put all the separate pieces in a bag of rice and let it sit in there for 24 hours. That's always worked for me. If that happens to not work your phone is probably too damaged by the water and in most cases you'll have to pay for it to get fixed.
