A. It depends upon several factors, including usage and whether you have wifi on. I've taken mine on vacation an dread several hours per day with the wifi off and had the battery last 10 days or more.

Q. i am going away on a plane for about 2.5 hours. i was planning on watching a movie that is a little over 2 hours. will my kindle fire have wifi and will i last that whole time within dying?
A. You won't have wifi, as very few planes offer wifi for the passengers. If you can download a movie into your Kindle Fire, then, after turning OFF the wifi to preserve battery-life, you should have several hours worth.
I plan to do the same for an upcoming trip this Spring.

Q. I got a kindle for christmas and it's awesome. The only problem is after i put it on sleep and come back to read 90% of the time it says critical battery. I don't know of any other way to turn it off but if you can help that would be great. Thanks.
