He got so excited that he ran, with the ipad 4 in his hands around a corner. Suddenly, we heard a big bang. We thought that it was his head that smashed against the brick wall, but that wasn't it. Hundreds and millions of tiny glass pieces were first visible from the tiled floor. We knew the our ipad 4 was smashed.
My question is.. how much does it cost for an ipad 4 replacement at Sydney apple store. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Please note this is not a madeup story. I just wrote it with extra details. Thanks.
A. Sorry to hear what happened to your ipad but I should also say you should be thankful it wasn't your brother that was harmed - that part in your story sounded like a scene from a scary movie of sorts. :)
Anyhow, an iPad retina should cost you around AU$ 539 (wifi only) and at 16GB of storage. Of course if you go for higher specs and the cellular version it'll cost you more.
Anyhow, you should seriously consider getting a protective case of sorts as well. Mine is on a http://clamcase.com/ (its a keyboard, case and stand all in 1 device) and I never need to worry about something like this from happening plus of course I can do some work on it now with the keyboard.
There are hundreds of protection for your ipad out there so just get what suits you best.
Should I get an Ipad 2 or an Asus Transformer Prime tablet?
Q. I am planning on getting a tablet pretty soon and I have narrowed down to the ipad and the transformer pad because they are both in the 500 dollar range and I have no preference for ios or android so it really comes down to which one has the better features for me.

They are both pretty good. The ASUS Transformer Prime has the edge in the performance department and has a better display as well. It is also a widescreen display so it is better for watching movies, but not as good in portrait mode. With the optional keyboard (very handy), battery life is about 17 hours.
The only problem with Android tablets in general is the lack of tablet specific apps. I had some iPhone apps on my iPad and I couldn't stand it so I promptly redownloaded them as iPad apps... I couldn't imagine having to live with stretched out mobile phone apps on a tablet.
How hot can an ipad get before it breaks?
Q. We are going to mexico and I want to know if my iPad can with stand the heat if I left it in the car for a few hours while we swim and stuff so what is the max temperature the iPad can with stand before shouting down or breaking
A. It will not break. It will put a message on the screen saying it needs to cool down and will shut down. Apple's figures say it is OK up to 113ºF while off and will operate up to 95ºF. Common sense should be applied and it should not be left out to bake in direct sunlight.
