Q. I sort of need a better music device than my ipod shuffle. And I do need a new phone. I thing im going with T-mobile prepaid service. So because the Samsung galaxy s3 has plenty of memory and more, I thought Id buy it for 549 dollars and have a phone and good music player.
A. It is superb. I only tried small samples but it is excellent! Thats a good choice to go through prepaid (: I have Tmobile prepaid also. (Unlocked Samsung Galaxy SII) Im sure you would like your SIII (:
I thought id give the iPhone a try... i like it but i kinda miss the features on Android :p
The SIII is just superb ! (Although its sorta big for my TINY hands haha)
Can I unlock a T-Mobile Galaxy s3 to Work with sprint Service?
Q. I am planning to buy a Samsung Galaxy s3 off my friend, but his carrier is T-Mobile and I have Sprint. Though I currently have the iPhone 4s with a Sprint Micro Sim, so if I am able to unlock it to Sprint will I be able to use the Micro Sim currently in use with my iPhone 4s? Please any help would be appreciated, thank you!
A. T-mobile supports GSM network but Sprint supports CDMA.If your friends galaxy supports both GSM & CDMA where you can unlock & use it with Sprint.
Before unlocking youalso have to check whether the phone supports micro sim or mini sim. If it supports micro sim you can use it obviously or if the slot is for mini sim, then contact Sprint and ask for a mini sim for your number and use it.
You can unlock the Samsung Galaxy S III from T-mobile using unlock code from many online unlocking sites. But you can go with http:///www.unlock-zone.com/samsung-galaxy-s-iii/rs5wp9/ to unlock it.
Does the Samsung galaxy s3 need a specific service carrier plan?
Q. I was wondering if the Samsung galaxy S3 needs a specific plan from a service carrier like the iPhone 4/4s or can I buy it unlocked and use it with a pay as you go sim card in different countries?
A. Androids and their Manufactorers (Samsung, HTC, Motorola, LG, SONY, etc) are obligated by Google and the OHA (open handset alliance) NOT to control the Android OS, unlike Apple does with IOS on Iphones...........
If an android phone is unlocked, it will work with other sim cards.... Same rules from basic phones apply----call and SMS text is fine, but MMS and data/internet may be slow or sporadic or buggy or not work at all) This is becuase the phone's hardware is prgrammed with a specific APN from the original carrier. The APN has nothing to do with Android or any other OS. If yoru MMS and data works fine, then great! If not, your APN settings will need to be changed. Tons of google sites to show you have to do that
