How can I get my mom to buy me a phone, like a touch screen phone?

Q. Okay so I started off with an LG remarqo (that's spelled wrong, and look it up if you don't mind) phone that was blue and black and it could slide up and down. It wasn't that bad of a phone considering it was my first. Anyways I was at the movies watching the new spider man, the one with the fake spider man. At the end of the movie I left, forgetting my phone was in the cup holder and then when I realized I left it which was as soon as I got in the car, I ran back into the movie theater and it was gone. I told my mom and dad that I was sorry but I knew that wasn't enough. I felt terrible that day and now I don't have a phone but I really need one, btw I'm telling you guys this on my kindle fire. My mom had to turn my phone of so whoever took it can't use it anymore. I really need a phone. I lost my first phone in 6th grade and its summer time and I'm going into 8th grade when school starts again. My birthdays June 14 but I don't know if I'm gonna get a phone. I either want a samsung galaxy s3 or an iPhone 4s. Btw which phone do you think is better between those to? I wrote my mom a note saying sorry and that I would love for her to except my apology? So I need advice. How can I get my mom to buy me one of those phones? And what phone should I get, the iPhone 4s or the Samsung galaxy s3? Thanks for listening!!! :)

A. you are irresponsible and underage... there is no reason for you to have a cell phone... and asking in the LAND PHONE section is not going to get you any help or sympathy

Original Question

How do you get frames for Samsung Galaxy?
Q. The first day I had the phone I accidentally put a photo frame of a robber (a mask and hat) on my camera and could take silly photos with it, but now I cannot find where they are. Can someone tell me how to get to them?? Thanks!

A. I figured it out! Here is how you do it:

1. Click on contacts
2. Select a contact by clicking on the left where the image of the contact is (this will be a black place holder if your contacts do not have images associated to them)
3. One the pop up menu (this should have popped up when you clicked on the contact) select the last icon on the right.
4. Once you select this the camera will pop up with the overlays you are looking for. You can scroll through them and select whatever you like!

Have fun and let me know if anything is unclear. There may be another way to access this but this is the way I found.

Original Question

is this a scam please answer I need to know?
Q. I am selling my samsung galaxy s2 and I want 200 for it so this weird number texted me a number that seems like it's not from around here at all. They want to pay me through pay pal and have it shipped to them. I think it's weird to that they offered me 300 and they will pay shipping. Are they trying to rip me off or do they just really just want they phone. Also I have never used pay pal is it safe to have one of these.

A. SCAM
There are many variations of the Paypal scam which is why most local marketplace websites have a scam warnings page specifically tells users to NEVER give out Paypal details,, ONLY deal with people who can meet you in person and accept cash only
1 - this article explains the most common version which uses a spoofed email that only looks like it's from Paypal http://consumerist.com/2008/10/30/how-a-nigerian-steals-your-laptop/
2 - a version of #1 but the fake Paypal email will be for MORE than you asked for and you will be asked to wire the balance to the "shipper" or some other person through Western Union or Moneygram
3 â you get a spoofed Paypal email asking you to click a link to verify/accept the transaction, and that link leads you to a phishing site that looks exactly like Paypalâs home page but by logging in, you just gave the scammers your account details so they can hack your account and use it to pay for items online
4 - they pay with a hacked Paypal account hoping you ship the item or they or their âmoverâ or âshipperâ pick up the item before the real account holder discovers the theft, reports it to Paypal and Paypal withdraws the money from your account
5- Paypal ONLY protects you if YOU arrange the shipping to the buyer's verified address. Scammers know this but hope you don't. So they pay with their account then either pick up from you, send a "shipper" (scammer using another fake name) to pick up the item or they have you send to a father/son/friend/etc overseas or in another state Then once they have the item or you have sent it, they file a dispute with Paypal claiming their email and Paypal accounts have been hacked and there is an unauthorised transaction. Paypal contacts you asking for proof of delivery to the buyer's verified address. You won't have this as the scammer either picked up from you or shipped to an unverfied address, and Paypal refunds the money and the scammer keeps your item and resells it for cash
6 - With electronic items, scammers who have broken/damaged items scour the internet for the same make/model in other cities. They buy your item, pay with Paypal, then file a chargeback claiming the item doesn't work. They send you their broken one back and paypal refunds their money. With designer items, they buy your item, claim itâs counterfeit, then send you a fake one back â whether itâs a Rolex watch, Louis Vuitton handbag, Gucci wallet, etc

And once the scammers have your Paypal account details they will use password hacking software to hack your account to âpayâ their next victim

ONLY a scammer offers MORE money - they look for people whose greed is stronger than their common sense. A real buyer tries to get you to REDUCE the price, not increase it by $100. Someone could buy a new phone for 300 from any phone store with free shipping

DO NOT text back - they often text you from premium rate numbers and if you respond you can be billed up to $10 for that text.

Ignore anyone who does not want to meet you in person and pay cash. Remember YOU are the seller and YOU set the terms of the sale. Never let a buyer tell you how they are paying you or how they will get the item. You choose the public location of your choice (coffee shop, hotel lobby, bank, public library, fast food etc) and exchange the item for cash or no sale

Phones, laptops, tablets and games consoles are the most frequently targeted items by these Paypal scammers. Relist your item and state CASH ONLY, LOCAL BUYERS ONLY, NO SHIPPING, NO EXCEPTIONS and ignore everyone wanting anything else. I'm actually surprised you only had one scammer contacting you - normally with a phone you'd have 3-4 people all with the same story
