Q. Samsung galaxy 2, people. I tend to have long conversations with my friends and it's annoying how the whole beginning of it is cut off. Is there some type of setting that'll let all my conversations show completely or something? 10 points best answer.
A. I have a Samsung Galaxy Exhilarate, so it's similar (runs on Android Ice Cream Sandwich)...
I believe there is a setting which sets a limit on how many messages will be kept in a single conversation (this is probably to save memory on the phone, because storing huge numbers of text messages can bog the phone's memory down). Try this:
Go into your messaging app, the first page (don't go into a specific conversation, just view all conversations)
> Tap the menu button
> Tap "Settings"
> Find "Text message limit" (or something similar)
you should be able to edit how many texts can be displayed before they get cut off. Mine was pre-set to 200 messages per conversation, and I've just kept it that way.

It may be a bit different depending on which version of Android your galaxy is running... I would assume a Samsung Galaxy 2 is running a 2.1 (Eclair) version of Android, so it's a bit older than mine, but it should still be similar (??)

I've been text messaging a friend for a while now and the messages are not being shown in the order in which they are sent...all of the messages she sends me are at the top as if she has sent 20 individual texts and all of mine are at the bottom. Normally the text boxes alternate between blue and white but it's like blue blue blue blue white white white white. I hope I am explaining this well. It's really annoying having to scroll all the way up to see the text message I get from my friend. Is there some setting that I might have accidentally changed or do I need to to an update?

A. No, it doesn't have a place for a charm built in, but you can get an inexpensive little "O" ring that you can attach to your phone or phone case that will give you a place to hang a charm.
