A. If you have a 1st gen Kindle Fire, then you can't, as that model doesn't have any video input/output capabilities.
If you have a Kindle Fire HD, you need a microHDMI to HDMI adaptor. For your Macbook, you'll need a Mini Display Port to HDMI adaptor.

I have both devices and found the two separate devices work perfectly. Unfortunately, there's no combination adaptor out there.

Q. I've been told that I don't need a voltage transformer with the Kindle. Is this correct? The charging plug on the Kindle has two prongs. Can I use an ungrounded plug in Australia to charge the Kindle whilst there?
A. That depends on where you bought it from, as to whether you need a transformer for it. See if it has any specifications on it somewhere, then come back with more info and tell us.
But buy a grounded (three pin) one.

A. How shall we know if you don't disclose your place of residency and the type of plugs used in your country? In general for the countries you plan to visit the standard European adapter should work in all countries you plan to visit.
