Q. I recently downloaded V for Vendetta, and I would like to put it on my phone, which is a Samsung Galaxy Nexus. The file is currently in a .avi format, and there's another copy that is a .wmv file. I've tried using the USB cable and copying it to my Movies, but it doesn't work?

A. That file type might not work, but file conversion is a whole different topic.
To get the file on your phone in the first place, grab a free WiFi transfer utility. Just search "wifi transfer" or similar on the Google Play store. You'll have a few decent options, and they're all pretty much the same.
From there, it's easy enough. Just open the app, make sure your WiFi is on, hit "Start", "Go", etc. and type the IP address and password (if there is one) in and you're in a file explorer right there on your PC wirelessly, which rocks. Just upload it via right-click option, drag and drop, or however that particular app does it.
Beware, though. Some of those utilities have file size caps so if it says the movie is too large, try a different app.

The phone charges when it's hooked up the computer, but nothing happens with the storage. other devices, such as my mp3 player show up in the computer, but my phone won't, any suggestions?
A. Most phones won't be automatically recognized. Try looking for an app at the Samsung support sight. I hope this helps you out.
