A. NO, there is ABSOLUTLEY NO WAY to use any phone from any other carrier on Virgin Mobile USA's network.
The ONLY phones that will work on Virgin Mobile USA's network are VIRGIN MOBILE USA PHONES!
They don't use SIM cards or anything of that sorts.
Assuming you're talking about Virgin Mobile USA, in the UNITED STATES, the fact is, Virgin Mobile USA is a subsidiary of Sprint, so, naturally, the wealthy executives want to suck every ounce of profit out of the much more profitable Sprint Galaxy S3 for upwards of a hundred dollars a month before they give it to Virgin for 35 dollars a month.
Now, usually, there is a 9 to 10 month gap between the Sprint release and the Virgin Mobile USA release. But, the Galaxy S3 is very profitable so we could be waiting many more months, possibly a year. It is unknown when it will be released.

How to activate a phone with Virgin Mobile?
Q. Hi, I need help activating my phone, it's a Samsung Galaxy sII epic 4g. I don't know how to activate it, but the thing is I have already paid the plan on it. I called Virgin Mobile and asked them how to activate and they said to turn off the phone for 20 minutes and turn it back on then instructions on how to activate it will come up but it didn't..any ideas?

"Before using your device, you must activate your service with Virgin Mobile. You will need your phoneâs serial number, printed on a sticker inside the battery compartment."
It says that if you already have an account, you should be able to just turn on your phone and follow the on-screen prompts. Afterward, make a phone call with your phone to confirm that it is activated.
Also, for other Virgin Mobile devices, you should be able to dial ##VIRGIN# (##847446#) to go to the programming menu. Then there should be an option that says Activate Phone. Press this and it should set up for phone for you. However, I've never tried this with a Samsung phone, so I'm not sure if this option works.

Q. I'm looking to buy a new phone on the Virgin Mobile network and I want the new Samsung Galaxy S4. The only problem is that Virgin Mobile is slow with getting the new phones. I was wondering if I should get the Galaxy S3 or wait for the S4.
A. Usually virgin gets cell phones 3 to 6 months after they come out so you might see it some time in September , but in all honesty , it depends on how popular the phone is and when the company decides to release it to "non-contract" companies they are usually the last to get things
