Q. I have a 12 volt battery from an electric scooter (pretty much just a small car battery) and I was curious if there is a way to use it to recharge my electric devices. Such as my iPad, phone, laptop, etc.
Kind of like tose external battery packs that are for sell to charge your devices on the go.
I'm good with soldering or electronic wiring. Anyone know of a way to do this that will allow me to use my battery as a mobile charger?

A. It's possible but you will need an LM317 transistor and a resistor that will reduce your tension (volts) from 12 to 5... or you could just buy a car charger :D and connect it to the battery... that's for the iPad and phone .... laptops charge on 18 to 22 volts... and you can't really charge them if the scooter isn't running to recharge the 12v battery .... and you'd need a different device (inverter) to output you 18 to 22v from 12.
