A. The Straight Talk phone you get will determine what network your phone will run off of.
You need to go to the Straight Talk website and enter in your zip code.
The Samsung Galaxy Proclaim will run off of the Verizon network.
The ZTE Merit will run of of the AT&T network.
The LG Optimus Black,LG Optimus Q, Samsung Galaxy Precedent will all run off of the Sprint Network.
So the phone that you buy will only run as fast as the network that it runs off of will allow.
If your Droid is a AT&T, T-Mobile or unlocked GSM phone you can buy a Straight Talk sim card and unlimited talk, text and web plan and not buy a new phone. The network that your phone uses will depend on the phone that your phone is( if you have a AT&T phone, your phone will run off of the AT&T network). If you have a unlocked GSM phone your phone will be randomly assigned a network.

Q. I will be staying in Korea for a couple months. I am thinking of buying the Galaxy S4 (or any other Samsung phone) in America before I move abroad. I would like know if basic operations work, i.e. phone, text, internet, and gps. Many thanks!
A. There are pay as you go phone plans if, like you, somebody comes to Korea and wants to use their own phone during their stay but there are a few things you need to ensure first. Your phone has to be unlocked because basically you will be renting a sim card to fit into your phone. Also your phone has to be on their list of approved phones.
I suggest you contact KT, one of the main phone companies in Korea and the only one that offers that service, as far as I know.

I can't unlock my Samsung Galaxy Pocket cell phone?
Q. So i kept a password so that my annoying cousins and other people don't go through my cell phone. It is a pattern and i remember the pattern perfectly. But the problem is that i can't put in the password/pattern. I was at my grandmothers place and i fell asleep for 3 hours, my cell phone was completely fine then. But when i woke up and unlocked my phone, it was written, " swipe to open." i did so and the screen changed to the "too many patterns attempted" one. So i filled in my email address and the right password but it said wrong password. I changed it online then but still nothing happened. The main issue was that my "put your pattern screen" which comes as soon as i turn on my cell phone and when i have to open it, but it doesn't come. Instead the "swipe to open" screen comes which leads to the email one... I don't want to restore factory settings because it will delete all of my contacts, I'm not in touch with some but i don't want to delete their numbers so if there is any other option, please tell me. Thanks..
