Q. I have the Kindle Fire (not "HD," but the one before) and have been thinking about getting an Ipad. Can anyone tell me what the difference is between the two? What can I do with an Ipad that I can't do with my Kindle Fire? Thanks!
A. iPad will give you many more features.
I.e iPad vs your device:
- 9.8" screen 2048*1536 Retina display @264PPI (vs 7" screen 1024*600@169PPI). Remember the screen quality makes a lot of difference in games, movies and stuff.
- App store has over 275k apps, whereas the amazon app store has over 90k apps by now but you will find the best apps on apple app store only.
- iOS 6 and 7 are something much better compared to the heavily customized version of Android ICS on your device
- The accessories in market for iPad are limitless
- 16/32/64/128Gb storage options
- Dual camera allowing you to record and take pictures from back 5MP camera and make videos with 1080p resolution.
The fluidity of the OS of iPad with its hardware and the apps make it gives you pretty much a lagless experience, the touch screen is highly responsive also. Whereas on Kindle Fire you may find yourself hitting two times to continue further.
I suggest you look at this review on iPad from an actual user, would definitely help you on this decision:

I might invest in a kindle and i have questions?
Q. 1. Why are kindle books lower priced than actual books?
2. Do kindle books include everything like a regular book? Such as all the pages and details and etc.
3. Do kindles have all books or limited amounts?
A. Kindles are a fantastic investment! and I was the same, I was so unsure about getting one because I didn't want to loose the same feeling that I got from when I read books, trust me, I am a huge reader.
1) Kindle books are cheaper because they're electronic, your not having to pay for the cost of the paper and what not.
2) Yes, even pictures, though sometimes the pictures are in black and white if your kindle isn't colour capable.
4) The Amazon Store has probably all books ever written available, bar a few, 'Harry Potter' for example isn't available on kindle because J.K Rowling wouldn't sell the rights for the electronic copy. If you have a book that isn't available for kindle, there's a little button that will automatically send a request to the publisher to make it available for kindle, this usually takes a while.
Depending on what kindle you get depends on how many books it can hold. yo can get accessories for it, and (although they're expensive) I would recommend getting the Amazon brand accessories and not some cheap version that'll fall apart in minutes.
Edit: And I'm not 'keen' on anything, but why buy a cheap cover from ebay or whatever that doesn't look too good and may fall apart in an instant when you can buy one on Amazon that your sure will fit. Especially if your after a cover with a built in light.
Where can I find a car charger for the kindle fire?
Q. I don't want an incredibly cheap one that is going to hurt the battery, does amazon have an official one? I could only find one for the kindle 2 that was from amazon.
A. You might want to see if the provider carries a charger for the item.
If not then try Amazon.com or Best-buy.com they usually have many electronics and accessories to accompany them.
If this doesn't help try Craigslist and post an add.
Last but not least google this question and see what you can find.
