Q. Wat are the consequences for and android root I have a galaxy s 2
A. Hi there,
Android rooting is a serious task , if done wrong it would brick your phone (means dead phone) only usable as a paper weight.
But if done properly there is nothing to worry about, just follow the instructions carefully and you can root it easily. Just look at XDA forum, they are the best in regards of rooting and modding.
Now the consequences are
1) You could brick your phone, chances are 5-10 %.
2) You lose all your warranties and guarantees as soon as your root.
3) Customer care may or may not accept your phone for any repairs or may charge you extra.
Should i root my android phone?
Q. what are the good and the bad things about rooting an android phone. i know jail breaking and iphone can have consequenses, so is rooting an android phone kind of like that.
I NEED HELP!!
A. The bad things about rooting an Android phone are that you have to be careful, or you could seriuosly mess up your phone. And you will also void your warranty if your phone's rooted; and if you need repairs or replacement, almost no shop will cover these if your phones rooted. But, if you save all your phones original info before you root, and put it back that way, there is almost no way aybody could tell it was ever rooted. The good things are that you could over-clock your phone, which makes it allot faster and perform better. You have several operating systems you could add to your phone; which also makes it perform better, and makes it look cool. There are also apps that you could get only on rooted phones. Go to this website: http://androidforums.com They have step-by-step instructions on how to root almost every phone, and can answer questions. Just remember that if you choose to root, please save your info before.
Help with android rooting?
Q. I bought a droid x off of craigslist, he said it was rooted. I know a little bit about rooting , but i want to unroot it then root it again. How do i do that? What are the advantages of rooting?
A. if you got this from craiglist... I HIGHLY SUGGEST you SBF you phone before using it personally... i dont trust idiots on Craiglist... a SBF is like a Factory Reset on crack... instead of wiping the phone of any info the previous user put on it, a SBF will remove the software completely and the re-install Verizon stock unrooted software onto it... thus given you a Droid X NEW out of the box!!!
see my facebook or tumblr page blog for SBF tools and downloads and steps...
Next... is your choice...
1) if you want Android 2.2 OS (Froyo)... then google search z4root, download to sdcard, install the app, and root your Dx that way...
2) if you want Android (Gingerbread) 2.3 OS... then continue to read my facebook notes ot tumblr page blog for further Gingerbread rooting instructions...
forgot to add the benefits of rooting... to combat those on here that "know nothing"...
1)remove ads on ALL apps.. (AdFree)
2) freeze or delete bloatware (Bloatfreezer) (bloatware is the stuff manufacturs and carriers put on your phone that you never use... like cityID!!!)
3) change notification bar style, looks, icons, etc (ninjamorph)
4) change boot animation and/or boot logo pic (metamorph)
5) install custom roms manually or by app, like (ROM Manager)
6) make back of ALL apps and THEIR settings...
7) access to the internal files of the phone
shoot... root is the true Google experience before Manufacturs and Carriers LOCK IT DOWN... remove the lock.. and the world is yours---given you know what your doing
good luck and hope to see you around!
