Q. I guess if not what stylus should I use. I don't feel like ordering one online for $15 plus shipping. I know we have them at our local walmart for $10-$13, iPad stylus that is. I heard there are two types and don't know what ones work on other phones/tablets besides iPads.
A. any capactivite styluses will work perfectly fine with the HTC Vivid, even if they are made for the iPad.
the other type is resistive touchscreen/styluses, but they have been virtually eliminated from the market.
Can anyone recommend a good iPad stylus?
Q. I am getting an iPad for use in school (I go to two high schools so I need to carry as little work as possible) and I am planning on taking notes/filling out papers on it. I know I can type notes and that sort of thing but I will need to write too. I was wondering if anyone knew of a stylus with a pointier tip that made it easier to write neatly? All of the ones I have are a nubby tip so it is hard to write or draw accurately. I dont know if they make one with a tip more like a pencil, but if anyone knows of one that would be fantastic. Thank you!
A. Here's the one I have just Sony press down to hard http://www.repairsuniverse.com/ipod-touch-stylus-pen-silver.html
What stylus would you recommend for drawing on an ipad?
Q. I'm getting an iPad soon just what feels like a good stylus. I prefer something thin and sharp for accuracy of course not ruining the ipad
A. Since iPads (and all the other modern tablets and smartphones) use the capacitive touch screens (as opposed to the old resistive screens), they also all use the modern capacitive styli like these: http://styli.org/
What this means is that there are no thin and sharp styli for iPad. They are limited in how thin and sharp they could be based on the capacitive sensors embedded in the touch screens.
That said a lot of people and even some top drawing app makers prefer Bamboo stylus solo. Other good choice are Adonit Jot styli since it's easier to see where the stylus tip touches the screen. I use the Cosmonaut stylus (the other very popular choice) since it's the closest feeling of drawing on iPad (like the dry erase board).
