Q. I have the Samsung galaxy prevail yes I know it's old! and my charging purt is broken and I have to plug a batter charger to the wall and put my battery on it is there anything that could charge it faster than 6 hours?
A. buy a samsung phone charger..

Q. It only turns on when I plug it in. It says 99% charged but the battery icon shows a little bit of red as if the phone would be dead and has the lightening bolt like its charging icon in it also. But its not changing colors as if it would be and when I unplug it, it turns off instantly.

Bad charger.
Bad cable.
Bad port on laptop.
Bad controller of battery charging in laptop.
On or more of those, maybe.
