Q. Its a Samsung Epic 4G that is coming to Sprint that has not been released yet.ITS NOT THE HTC EVO!
A. All these responses are wrong. The epic 4g is a Galaxy S series phone. The epic is one of four Galaxy s phones that will be available with sprint in the coming weeks. The other Galaxy S phones are coming to the other major carriers (verison, att, and t-mobile) they All have the same screens, operating systems, and camera. The differences are the epic has a qerty keyboard and a flash while none of the others have the keyboard i believe one other has flash.
Hope this helps. Think of galaxy s as a series in the US at least. in Europe there is an actual Galaxy S phone that has been around for a bit but it isn't available in the US
Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch or Galaxy Nexus?
Q. I want to choose either the Samsung Galaxy S II Epic 4G Touch or the Galaxy Nexus I like the S II and the design but about two months in the phone game, which is pretty old, and now better phones are coming out with some pretty cool specs like the Galaxy Nexus. Now I like the Galaxy Nexus and everything but take away the ICS exclutivity and it's not all that. Overall, they're pretty much the same. The S II is still holding strong against these modern phone but I just want to know what phones people would recommend.
A. They're both great (I have the Epic 4G Touch), but the Galaxy Nexus may be the better option. It has a 720p display (Epic 4G Touch is about half that, though it still looks good). Also, the Galaxy Nexus supports Verizon's 4G LTE network, which is A LOT better than Sprint's 4G WiMax network. There's a good chance you'll leave WiMax off because of how bad it is with reception and speed. Verizon's LTE already covers hundreds of millions. Plus, Sprint announced they're swtiching to LTE starting in mid-2012, so the Epic 4G Touch suddenly is less appealing around then. It will take them until the end of 2012 to get to where Verizon is now with the high speed network. Personally, I think stock Ice Cream Sandwich looks better than Samsung's TouchWiz UX, too. And let's not forget Google will be directly updating the Galaxy Nexus for as long as possible, whereas Samsung probably will drop support of the Epic Touch in a year.
Case with built in screen protector for Samsung Galaxy S2 Epic 4g Touch (D710)?
Q. Otterbox only makes a case for the international version, and Trident, Casemate & Seidio do not have built in screen protectors. Also please let me know if any of these brands are releasing a case for this phone.
A. How can you have "built-in" screen protectors when it's a TOUCH SCREEN PHONE?!?!?!
The Otterbox for Epic 4G (regular) comes with a STICK ON screen protector! That you can buy for $1 online!
