Q. is it true amazon gives a free paid app daily? and do you get to pick that 1 app or does amazon take one app and make it free to everyone? and also i heard the silk browser isnt doesnt offer much privacy, is it possible to download another browser like chrome or opera, and would that help get some privacy back? thanks and if possible rate the overall performance and satisfactory of the kindle fire from 1-10
A. Yes, they are giving away one commercial app a day. Not sure how long they plan to do it but it's great.
You can see which one it is each day here (forwards to right place on amazon):

It's a specific app - not one you can choose.
Regarding the browser: You can load opera as an alternative, and it is more private. You just have to change the settings to "install apps from unknown sources" and then you can point your kindle browser to handango.com and download the opera app for android - and follow the instructions after it downloads to install it. Opera is also faster, which is another perk.
Another tip, if your in the market, you can get a good deal on the kindle fire here:

The kindle fire is an amazing deal, considering it gives you just about everything in a single package, meaning ability to run android apps, great media library from amazon, and a web browser that supports flash (which the ipad can't even do). Considering it cost so much less and can do more than the ipad it's a crazy deal.
I'm pretty thrilled with mine so I would rate it either a 9 or 10, but maybe i'm too easy to please :).
Apple apps to kindle fire help!?
Q. I have to download two apps for an economics course and my teacher told my class to purchase the apps from apple, they're called Ap Micro review and Ap Macro Review, but, I do not have an apple product that can access these apps nor an iphone, all I have is my kindle. Is there a way to still be able to get these apps from itunes to my kindle fire?
A. I'm sorry, but you can't run Apple apps on the Kindle Fire. Apps from Apple / iTunes can only be used on Apple devices. Try to ask your teacher to see if there's alternative for the Kindles.
Actually you can look up for the apps in the Amazon Appstore. Or if it can be found in Google Play appstore, then you can try to sideload the apps to your Kindle Fire. Here's a detailed discussion on how to sideload the apps on the Kindle:

IPod to kindle fire apps?
Q. We are thinking of getting a kindle fire with our taxes and was wondering a couple things. 1: can you transfer games and apps already purchased on the iPod touch to the kindle fire?
2: does iTunes run on the kindle fire? I actually wanted the iPad 3 but can't afford it.
A. I got the kindle fire a few months ago. At first I loved it but now not so much. Unfortunately you can not transfer the apps they do have some similar ones though. itunes does not run on the Kindle but you can download all of your music to the kindle using iCloud. I suggest you just get an iPod its the same price but if you are looking for the next best thing other then the iPad then the Kindle is great. You can also buy books on it for cheaper and stuff..
