Q. part of ipad 2 digitizer not working
So my iPad 2 digitizer cracked really bad so I replaced it but random parts of the digitizer do not work. The defective parts of the new digitizer thinks I am clicking in random spots or not at all. So I bought another digitizer and had the same problem. Why is this happening and can it be fixed? I've had the same problem with my iPod touch 32GB, except I bought it brand new from the apple website and part it the digitizer doesn't respond or work. It acts like I'm skipping a spot on the screen. I was too chicken to return it now it's too late but I'm more worried about my iPad. Thanks for any help and advice!!!

Q. Okay so I dropped my iPad and now the lcd screen is cracked. The glass is fine, so I was wondering if I need to replace digitizer as well. I would also like to know the price of the digitizer and lcd replacement costs. Thank you.
A. 1 - there are actually TWO parts you really need to replace on an iPad to repair a broken screen, the front glass panel (this item) and the "mid board". Most front panels on the market include the mid board pre-adhered on the back of the glass panel. This product comes without a mid board and you will will need to either try to remove the existing one on your iPad w/o damaging it (virtually impossible as the adhesive is very strong). The mid board w/o the glass panel was very hard to find for sale on the web. Once,
2 - Opening your iPad w/o damaging the case is hard. Spend your money on a high quality metal case opening tools. Be warned, all the videos on the web greatly undersell the difficulty of this step. They neglected to show that all of the tabs are on the top, bottom and the right. If you can get the case open the rest is not too hard.

How much does Apple charge to fix an iPad Digitizer and/or LCD?
Q. I have an iPad (Wifi Model), and it was dropped from my couch onto the carpet floor, which somehow destroyed the INSIDE of the iPad. The glass screen is not cracked, but it seems that the digitizer is messed up and the LCD inside is cracked. I tried looking up on the Apple website, but they didn't say.
I need to know how much it would cost if I brought it to the Apple Store to get it fixed or replaced.
Those will previous experiences is a plus!
