A. You can use any projector with an iPad.
All you need is the video out adapter for iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch that you can get from the apple store or eBay. This should make it capable to hook up to anything with a Video input and if you are really going fancy I believe they even have DVI or HDMI connections now as well.

Q. Can u connect an ipad to a projector like a macbook using the same conection as a macbook ?
A. it comes with the same little display port that you need to buy an adaptor for, like a macbook. if the projector has vga input, you'll have to get a vga adaptor. if it has hdmi input, you'll need the hdmi adaptor, etc.
