Q. Phone qualities aside, which one of these devices is the better one? Please let me know. Thanks :)
A. the samsung galaxy player has a faster processor, a faster graphics processing unit, and a larger better screen in terms of color andveiwing angles... other than that there the same thing... the galaxy w has a better version of touch wiz but the galaxy player has a better version of android witch is probably better depending on u... id go with the samsung galaxy player 4.0.... but consider those phone qualities...
samsung galaxy w or htc explorer?
Q. galaxy w is a little bit over my budget, but if its worth it im gonna buy it.....
A. The Samsung Galaxy W is better in every respect - larger and higher res display, higher res camera, more internal memory, faster processor, longer talk and standby times, slimmer (just!)...
Have a look at: http://www.compare-cellphones.org/HTC-Explorer-vs-Samsung-GALAXY-W
I bought my son a Galaxy W for Xmas and he LOVES it!
IS THERE REALLY NO ICS FOR SAMSUNG GALAXY W AND Y?
Q. Is there really no ICS on Samsung Galaxy W? How the hell Samsung ever did this to a Good phone? HOW DARE???... I'm planing to buy this phone but when I knew it won't support ICS, I'm planing to Switch to HTC... Yeah its markey strategy, but a 6 month old Phone is considered old? F*CK you samsung, Their only give a sh*t on Galaxy SII and Note, but the other middle class wont?.. YEAH, good..
I WISH YOUR COMPANY WILL FALL!!!......
IF There is really no support for ICS on W,
then what is the phone as good as W?
A. Well yeah, there will never be ICS on Galaxy W officially. HTC One V is probably the closest I can think of and that comes with ICS out of the box.
According to Samsung themselves (although, I think it's just an excuse), because of TouchWiz, they can't put ICS onto these phones because they won't have the power to run it. So instead, they will give it a "Value Pack" update which is really just Gingerbread with some ICS features like Face Unlock.
My counter-argument: If TouchWiz is the problem, why not just get rid of TouchWiz and only keep just some of the icons and widgets and apps and let it run mostly on stock Android?
Anyways, I think you should just get the One V which has a lot of interesting features for a budget handset. It's got one of my favorite design (the chin from HTC Legend) and the UI is good looking. I'm a Galaxy S II user but honestly, the ICS update is ruined by Samsung's ugly TouchWiz skin which makes it look exactly the same as Gingerbread. Meanwhile, HTC is giving the One V HTC Sense 4.0 which looks more like ICS (but with a touch of HTC visuals). Not only that, it has Beats Audio. Check out the site here:
