A. Enable USB Debugging in settings>Applications>Development>USB Debugging and when u connect u r mobile to u r PC with a USB open u r mobile and bring down the notification bar and there u can see USB Connected and click on it and u can see the logo of Android in green colour and at the bottom u can see Connect....click on it and u r mobile will be succesfully connected...
If still problem persists contact samsung online help or take u r mobile to the shop where u bought it with receipt and all the cables,etc.....
Before that if u have upgraded or rooted u r mobile these kind of problems will occur...so please downgrade u r mobile software.
Does long USB Extension cable slower the charging rate on Samsung Galaxy S3?
Q. I recently bought a 15 ft USB Extension cable to extend the charging cable for my S3. I found out that now my S3 charge at very much slower rate than before (It takes up to 8 hours for fully charge instead of 3.5 like before). It must be because of the USB extension cable. But I wonder if it's generally happen to every long USB Extension cable out there, or it's just me that happen to get a crappy quality one?
If it's generally happen like that, does it affect my S3 battery anyhow?
Thanks All.
A. Idk if this helps but Samsung USB data transfer cords that were made for USB data transfer and not for charging will have a sticker saying u-9 the cord for charging says u-2 on it, I'm not sure of the actual difference but I do know there is a difference in the length of time it takes to charge (charge cord is faster)and how long the battery holds a charge (charge cord lasts longer hope this was helpful
Samsung Galaxy S USB Malfunction - Windows 7?
Q. I have recently tried to connect my Samsung Galaxy S to my Windows 7 machine, something I have done numerous times in the past, but now it keeps telling me that the device has malfunctioned. It works perfectly on my Win XP machine just not on Win 7. I am using a new cable as the original cable stopped working. Has this happened to anyone else and does anyone know what is wrong?
Cheers,
A. The solution:
1. Move all data from drive C, to drive D / E / F
2. Reinstall operating system Win 7, by doing a format drive C.
3. After the install process is complete, you connect the Samsung Galaxy S, to a computer
4. If not successful, there is a possibility, your computer's USB slot, were damaged. There are two USB slots. Slot front and rear slots. When, front slot, were damaged, you can connect to the rear slot
5. In the slot that was damaged, you press START - Control panel - hardware - device manager, on the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers", find the USB experiencing malfunction. Right-click and disable.
