Q. Should I get a Laptop under 500 dollars or an Ipad 2? And if you say Laptop, which one?
A. Ipad 2. It's generally the same as a laptop except its slimmer, smaller and I guess faster. Laptops have games and word documents and powerpoints. Ipad 2s can have all those as well. All you need to do is download them and not all cost money. Ipad 2s can have internet access if you have wifi (like a laptop doesn't work either without wifi) or just get 3G. You can also read your mail on an ipad 2. It also has a camera and you don't have a built in camera on all laptops. Its easier to manage and can do just as much. The nice thing about apple is that it's touch. Laptops are often not making it a little annoying at times.
iPad 2 or Macbook Pro 13 inch?
Q. I need help deciding which 'computer' I should get. Should I get a Macbook Pro 13 inch (I will buy the baseline model, but with iWork, and 500 GB memory), or a 16 GB iPad 2 Wifi only model (once iOS 5 comes out)?
I am going to use it for:
-Internet
-School, and in one more year, I will need it for college
-iWork (Apple version of Microsoft excel, word, and powerpoint)
-Watching movies/videos: youtube, hulu, megavideo, letmewatchthis.ch, etc...
-Music storage
-Downloading music
-Photo Storage
-Some Games
-Skype/video chat
Also, I should be able to:
-carry it to and from school
-Sync with my iPod touch
-I don't want to have to depend on another computer in order to update it and download music on it.
-Good Battery life (5+ hours)
So what should I get?
Lastly, please don't say something like: 'Don't get Apple, get a PC' and other crap like that.
I also want it to have 'Flash' and I want it to be able to play online games
A. iPad 2 and Macbook Pro does the same thing of what you want. But i recommend the Macbook Pro. Because it comes with lots of professional features for school, work, and arts. The iPad 2 does as well, you can buy them off the App Store. But the iPad 2 doesn't come with Flash. So you cant play online games and you cant watch videos online. So if you want to watch movies online, on the iPad 2, you cant. Also the iPad isn't really considered a prefect "computer" for school. But anything else everything will work fine on both of the products. If you want to be comfortable on the couch or bed watching a movie or playing a game, the iPad 2 is perfect for that, but if you want to add more work and projects and stuff. The iPad 2 does have that, but is way different and harder with the touch screen

Q. Hi, I recently bought an iPad 2 32gb. But sadly its not jailbreakable. So i was thinking on returning it and getting a IPad 1, used and cheaper, because they are jailbreakable. And maybe with the iPad 1, even get a Mac laptop. But I'm not sure if I should. Is the iPad 1 really more sucky than the iPad 2, or will it be just fine? Thanks
A. iPad 2 is faster, and has the cameras, and can get major software updates. The first iPad is slower, cannot upgrade the software, and does not have cameras. Those are really the major differences. But returning it and getting an old one just so you can jailbreak it? I don't think that's worth it when you just spent a good amount of money on the one you just got. That's dumb actually, in my honest opinion.
You can get a Mac laptop though, I would recommend that. But trading in your brand new, fresh iPad 2 for an old cheap one JUST so you can jailbreak it? I don't think that's a wise idea. You won't get any support from Apple that way and it's a pain to get any music or other iTunes content/apps onto it too.
