A. Remember when CD Walkmans were really expensive? And flip open cell phones? And digital photo frames? All of these used to be really expensive because they were the new technology- but nowerdays you can get them for standard prices as there is new, better technology. The same will happen with iPads. Today they are amazing and new and expensive, but just wait until 2022 for example. People will still use iPads but they will be a quarter of the price they are now and there will be a new technology that people will want to buy. Today we are trading in our qwerty-keyboard cell phones for touch screen, just as in 12 years we might be trading in iPads for a simple piece of glass that illuminates like a computer screen and has the power of twenty seven iPads.
Don't worry- I'm not saying wait until 2022 to get an iPad because they are half price. My point is that technology is constatly changing. Like my example- 4 years ago everyone was snapping up Qwerty keyboard cell phones because they were in fashion, but look at what they are today; second best to touch screen phones! Like Qwerty keyboard cell phones, iPads will one day fade into yesterday's technology. No one will want them anymore, we will all be moving onto the new fashion- and this won't be too long from now by the looks of technological development today. In five, maybe ten years- who will talk of iPads, except when talking to their kids about what they used in 'their day'
To put my point blankly- iPads will fade away- and in a few years time they will be uncool and you will want something new- we all will. Get a guitar, music never goes out of fashion ;-)

IPad verses guitar (DG-8S)?
Q. Should i get a "Fender DG-8S acoustic guitar starter pack" or an "iPad mini" I would only have enough for 4 guitar lessons, and have never played a guitar before. Right now I have an iPod 4g but it won't be able to get the next update in Fall and I want a bigger screen. What should I get? I will only play the guitar around the house and probably won't play it for tips and won't be a musician when I get older.
A. Get what you want, you seem to be favouring the iPad so go for that..
