Should I use a Samsung Galaxy S3 as my mp3 player?

Q. I'm wondering if I should get the S3 to replace my phone and iPod touch.
I like the iPod a lot, but I only use it for travel. I have a lot of music and like to have large library available. The problem is my iPod is only 8GB and is running very low on memory. So I've considered buying my friend's 32GB iPod touch to increase my storage space. However...lately I've been thinking that maybe the S3 would replace them both. I use my phone more than my iPod. Should I replace my ipod with the galaxy S3? Should I keep my 8GB for mostly music and put most of my apps on the S3?

How is the audio quality? Is it as good as an ipod touch?
Also, I don't care about getting an iphone.

A. I have an international S3 (GT-I9300) and I don't use it for music. The reason? ~5-6 gigs out of 11.5 are used by apps, their data and random stuff - I don't want to use the left memory for music or other not important stuff; my friend does so (he has a S3 too) and his phone starts lagging often. Also, it's battery hasn't got long life - with normal use, for me, it lasts up to 1,5 day; with music, it would last even shorter. Another problem - in winter, while listening to music (I'm using the stock earphones which came with my S3 until my Beats Studio arrives) outside, it's kinda cold when it's -5 ~ -10 'C and you have to take off gloves to use touchscreen for switching songs (of course, if your earphones/headphones and the player (S3, in this case) has the ability, you can use a 4-pin cable with buttons on it). So that's why I use my 8GB Philips GoGear ViBE; It doesn't have a 4-pin socket, though, it has hardware buttons to use even with my gloves on.
Audio quality? Yes, in my opinion it's even better (once I had borrowed friend's iPod Touch 3rd generation 64 GB; the S3 sounded better for me)
It's for you to decide; the worst cons about S3 as a MP3 player are battery life and lag on low memory.
Of course, you can use a portable "power bank" and an USB OTG cable with a flash stick of a great capacity for music ^^
Your decision.

Samsung Galaxy Player MP3 Player?
Q. Thinking of upgrading from my old ipod touch (w/o the camera) to a Samsung Galaxy Player. While the 5.0 is likely better than the 4.0, how much better? Is it worth the extra $40?

A. That $40 more will get u an fm radio, gps(works without wifi) 4 times the gpu performance if an ipod touch 4 th gen so better game graphics MUCH beter camera (3.2 mp vs .7 mp) 1.3 watt speakers with 5.1channel sorround sound (3 speakers vs 1) the ability to make VOiP calls without jailbreaking much nicer display (better veiwing angles and colors) bluetooth 3.0 included ac wall adapter for charging (somthing no ipod comes with) cheaper games and apps twice the ram and a faster processor for web browsing and app launching... I have an iphone 4 and a galaxy player the galaxy player is better
