galaxy note 2 vs top rated tablets?
Q. not the I pad i have had one and did not really like it also i understand that the note 2 is a smartphone. I like to watch movies play games. Want something portable and durable. Also could you please give me cool details on both the note and the tablet you are comparing it to.
A. The Galaxy Note 2, is by far the most advanced smartphone currently on the market. offers the best of a tablet and smart phone combined. Make no mistake, this is a big phone. I do believe people will find it to be quite manageable, though. Despite the talk about being a two-handed phone, a lot of people will be able to do many functions with one hand. It has so many options across the board that it will take a while to figure out everything the phone can do. For example, you can make the keyboard move to the right or left side so you can do one-handed operations. You can completely customize this phone to your preferences.
The quad-core processor is so fast you won't believe your eyes. If you are on WiFi, you will be amazed. Depending on your 3G speed, it may take longer to download items but still the phone more than makes up for it. There is no 4G LTE in my area yet so when that comes next year, it will scream even when off of WiFi. It also has 2GB of RAM which is a lot for a phone and helps with speed even more. All you need to remember is it is fast to navigate and operate all the functions without stuttering and slowdowns, like I was used to.
The camera is excellent and has a lot of options for the settings. Video can be recorded in 1080p HD and in stereo. The screen resolution can show 720p HD and looks stunning. Options are there to make it look as lovely as you like. The audio quality is fantastic, too. Samsung used some high quality parts to make this phone. Music sounds great on both the speaker and included earbuds with phone control.
The S Pen stylus offers a lot of functions and you will enjoy learning all that it does and will do. It is fun to use for the most basic functions up to true multitasking where you can literally have two different apps going in a split screen.
The HD Super AMOLED screen. And while it has less ppi than the original Note and it's 720p vs. 800p for the original Note... the screen is by-far BETTER than the Note I, and I agree with many of the professional reviews which have stated it's the best screen Samsung has put on any of their devices. It's so beautiful!
⢠I love the fact the Note II finally has an LED notification light! I don't know how Samsung dropped the ball on that one with the original Note.
⢠The speakerphone on the Note II is worlds better than the Note Is. This was also mentioned a lot in pro reviews, and it lives up to that. Very happy with that.
⢠Jelly Bean 4.1 mixed with the TouchWiz "Nature UX" is beyond words. I mean, for the first time, I can actually say I prefer TouchWiz over HTCs "Sense." TouchWiz on Jelly Bean is very intuitive. There's a lot I'd love to say about it, but it's too intricate to mention in a professional review. You'll have to see for yourself. Also, that "buttery smoothness" that is often associated with Jelly Bean, is not over-exaggerated. This phone FLIES! Start-up time is extremely impressive, as well. It takes about 8-10 seconds for my phone to turn on and be at the home screen. I have never had a phone that fast and it's really impressive for a phone of this caliber. Also, I will just say (and I hope this translates well over a written review) that when you use the S-Pen, the five standard icons in the app tray at the bottom of the Note, intuitively change based on what screen you are on your phone... it sort of takes an educated guess on what apps you may want to access. Like I said, it's hard to explain, but it's really cool and very convenient.
⢠The battery life of the Note II also lives up to all of the hype. Looking at my phone right now, it hasn't been charged for 1 DAY, 3 HOURS, and 40 MINUTES, and I still have 27% battery left! My on-screen time has been 2 HOURS and 40 MINUTES. My highest on-screen time was around 3.5 HOURS and at that point, I was only down to 50% battery! That included watching dozens of videos, performing a lot of downloads, and listening to a ton of music! So assuming I was doing everything the same for the next 50% of the time, I should have easily reached well-over 6 hours of battery life.
