A. The S2 was usual phone from Samsung, as there were a few different verison of the phone for different service providers as well as an international model which had subtle sizing difference. The are all the S2 but they are bit different. Depending on the case it might "sort of" fit. If you bought your phone from tmobile then it is definitely a t-mobile phone wouldn't fit. If you bought your phone from somewhere else, then you would have to check which desgin it is. Why Samsung did this the S2 , without giving anyreal way to indicate which model in the name is beyond me, though. Hope this helps
iPhone 5 or Samsung Galaxy s2?
Q. I'm having conflicted thoughts of which I should get..
Someone please help me decide with good reasons..
What I know so far:
I already bought a few apps on iTunes and completed most of the missions/stuff on my 2nd gen iPod Touch which is slowing down like a piece of crap (ie. Angry Birds.. put so much effort into getting 3 stars, lolol) and I still got money on my iTunes account ($19..). It would seem like an utter waste to throw it away.. But it doesn't support 4G LTE (I use verizon)....
Then theres the Samsung Galaxy s2 that has a faster processor than the A5 chip (or so I've heard)... I'm planning on getting a Samsung Tablet 10.1 (So I'll probably share the apps between the two).. the camera is better... and it has flash/gps and so many features that I like...
So, if you who are reading this..... what would you do in my case? D:
And yes, I am aware that the iPhone 5 has not come out yet and we don't necessarily know all the details of it, so just pretend I said iPhone 4 w/ a A5 chip.
A. Ok .. here we go first i go with apple as you know they have great apps and trust me Cydia makes it good too and the phone is worth it i have nothing against Samsung but i used Apple products and i think they are great IPhone 5 that am planning to get too and you have tons of apps on ITunes another thing the phone and iTunes really easy to use and the way the apps work so fast i used iPhone first gen, and worked great trust me i didn't want to upgrade at all for any of 3g or 3gs or 4 but what i heard through rumors and how Apple should worked hard on iPhone 5 to get on-top then i will go with Apple product never had problem with the first gen till now works like charm so if you asked me Go Apple my friend and good luck on choosing ....
iphone 4s or Samsung Galaxy s2?
Q. I will be changing my phone in August, and I'm set on choosing between these two.
I know the iphone 5 is coming out soon, whilst the Samsung Gs3 is already out; however, they JUST came out so it will be quite expensive. I'm only a student, so I don't believe spending too much.
Reasons why I want an iphone:
Great APP library
Nice, sleek design
Nice Camera
Well Organized
Simple to use
I don't have an ipod, so this could be used as a music player and phone.
Also, Apple is constantly innovating itself. It is also more desirable by most people so... newer things will come easily.
Reasons why I want GS2:
It has 4G, great speed
It too has a nice and sleek design
Its made of Gorilla Glass so amazing durability
I don't know too much about GS2.
If you guys can argue about the pros and cons of each phone, that might help me make my decision.
I don't want a "most wanted" phone, I prefer a phone where I don't regret buying it.
Can the SG2 be used like an ipod too? Like does it store music, MVs, movies, etc.
I also know the android market isn't up to par like the apple library, so that part somewhat pesters me.
Thanks
My provider is AT&T.
I am transitioning from my Samsung Solstice II.
If I do happen to get the S2, can I have "facetime or face chat" with iphone users?
A. Yes. The iPhone 4s and Samsung Galaxy S2 can store movies/music/books/ect..
Samsung has its own media where you can purchase/rent whatever movies you want. Google has updated its store too so it always has new movies that are recent.
iPhone 4s:
Pros: -More apps than android
-Easy to use
-No delays on updates
-Lots of cool iPhone cases to choose from
-Siri
Cons: -You have to pay for a lot of apps
-Can break easily if dropped
-Not much customization unless jailbroken(voids warranty)
-3g
Samsung Galaxy S2
Pros:-You can customize your phone a lot with widgets/live wallpapers ect..
-Lots of "free" cool apps you don't have to pay for
-Won't break as easy as an iPhone if dropped
-Cool app sales when Google does them(10 to 50 cent good quality apps)
-You can get a Micro SD card and use it for other androids too
-Cool music apps to get free music instead of buying off iTunes
-Can always load up a custom mod like C7
-4g
-Ice cream sandwich(Face Unlock is a cool feature).
Cons:-Samsung(ughh) ... they are really slow on updates (Ice Cream Sandwich)...
-Battery seems to dye quickly
-Phone gets hot if used for a long time
-Some android apps are low quality
-No android based Siri that works as good.
-Hard to use at first if your not used to android
iPhone 4s & Samsung Galaxy S2(At&t): Talk/Surf same time. If you're iPhone is on At&t too it goes a little faster because of HSPA +
They are both good phones,
Each has its own good and bad...
What company are you getting this on if I may ask?
There are places like Costco/Best buy/Amazon ect.. that have better prices on androids than the corporate stores do. Some will even have a free Samsung Galaxy S2 or discounted ones BRAND NEW.(Unlike the iPhone where you only have the 200$ choice, if your getting the cheapest iPhone 4s that is)
In my opinion I think I would choose the Samsung Galaxy S2.
Good Luck.
