Q. I recently bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 in China, it works just fine, although it came with some things in chinese (I don't speak chinese), like a newspaper app and dictionary.
I was wondering if somehow I could change the firmware (or something else) to an american or international one, with english dictionary and related.
Thanks,
A. I also bought my Galaxy Note 10.1 in China and I also have been interested in changing the firmware. I've tried to email Samsung in USA and they redirected me to Samsung China email, but they weren't helpful (maybe a language barrier since I don't speak Chinese). So no, I still don't think it can be done -- the USA Support didn't mention anything about updating to a "US" version.
I want to upgrade mostly because the Chinese version completely locks out all Google products, especially Google Play store. So all those apps advertised for the Note are not included -- nor downloadable! -- in the Chinese version.
Which is better, Samsung GAlaxy tab 2 10.1 or Samsung galaxy note 10.1?
Q. And Why?
A. Galaxy Note is good but would cost you much more money so I would prefer that you go with the Galaxy Tab instead as it can do most of the work you require from a tablet and you wont have any issues spending that much for a tablet instead of paying a considerable price for Galaxy note just for few features extra.
I suggest you read this Review from an actual user of Galaxy Tab vs Galaxy Note and other tablets:
http://www.amazon.com/review/RHZKD6J2W0OMD/ref=cm_cr_pr_perm?ie=UTF8&ASIN=B007M50PTM&linkCode=&nodeID=&tag=aajemt-20
The advantages that Galaxy Note has are:
- Bit better camera
- 2Gb RAM
- Quad core processor
If you wish to pay extra for this then only go for Galaxy note 10.1 otherwise IMO Just go for the Galaxy Tab 2.
Should i buy samsung galaxy note 10.1 or ipad 4?
Q. I have samsung galaxy note 2
and i have ipad 2 that i want to renew it with a new tab
i'm confused with the note 10.1 and ipad 4
i need the tablet for:
1-studying in architectural engineering
2-watching movies
3-music
4-taking photos
5-internet
6-social networks
7-not to get bored fast!
8-good quality apps
i know it's to many requests to be in one tab but i hope somebody help me.
A. Personally I Would Suggest An iPad. I Have Used Both And Had A Much Better Experience With the iPad. It Had Almost NO Issues, Whereas The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 Had At Least 6 Problems Over The Time I Owned It.
