Q. Hi, I recently bought an iPad 2 32gb. But sadly its not jailbreakable. So i was thinking on returning it and getting a IPad 1, used and cheaper, because they are jailbreakable. And maybe with the iPad 1, even get a Mac laptop. But I'm not sure if I should. Is the iPad 1 really more sucky than the iPad 2, or will it be just fine? Thanks
A. iPad 2 is faster, and has the cameras, and can get major software updates. The first iPad is slower, cannot upgrade the software, and does not have cameras. Those are really the major differences. But returning it and getting an old one just so you can jailbreak it? I don't think that's worth it when you just spent a good amount of money on the one you just got. That's dumb actually, in my honest opinion.
You can get a Mac laptop though, I would recommend that. But trading in your brand new, fresh iPad 2 for an old cheap one JUST so you can jailbreak it? I don't think that's a wise idea. You won't get any support from Apple that way and it's a pain to get any music or other iTunes content/apps onto it too.
Is the iPad 2 worth buying?
Q. Basically, if any one has an ipad or ipad 2 id sure like to hear your thoughts?
A. iPad 2 Advantages:
IPads have a higher degree of fit-and-finish than other tablets. Like iPhones vs other smart phones, iPods vs other MP3 players, or Macs vs PC's, iPads are widely regarded as being more refined and polished than the competition.
iPad 2 Disadvantages:
1. No Flash.
2. No SD expansion; no HDMI port; no USB port.
3. ASUS Eee Transformer has a better display (10.1 inch, 1280x800, IPS vs 9.7 inch, 1024x768, IPS) for less money.
4. PlayBook and G-Slate have better rear camera video recording (1080p vs 720p).
5. PlayBook has much better front camera video recording (1080p vs VGA).
6. Almost all tablets have better camera resolution than iPad's lousy 0.7 MP.
does the ipad support mpeg video?
Q. ive gt a couple of mpeg videos that i wanna watch on the ipad, can i watch them?
oops! i mean mpeg-4!!!
A. iPad video: MPEG-4, H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, MOV, M4V
iPad audio: MP3, M4A
So you can watch the videos on your iPad, but here is another iPad software which helps you convert most of the popular video formats to you iPad, you do not need to worry about the incpmpatible ipad video format anymore. It is 4Media iPad Max.
4Media iPad Max can provide you backup and transfer movies and audios from iPad to Mac, from Mac to iPad, and from iPad to iTunes. It is really powerful! I have used it more than half years, it makes great sense on the video transform.
You can download the free version for try at: http://www.mp4converter.net/ipad-max-mac.html
