Q. Which is better and why?
I want to get an iPad, but I'm not sure which one to get. I like the iPad mini because you can hold it easily, and it's not too heavy, and it's cheaper than the iPad 4 but it reminds me too much of the iPod touch/iPhone because it's so small.
I like the iPad 4 because it's clearer and it is a regular sized iPad. and it has a big screen and it's easy to play games on, but it's more expensive.
I've been reading on Apple the differences between the two and there aren't many, but I still can't decide which one to get.
I'm getting the 32 gb one for sure, but I just can't decide on which type! Help?
I already have an iPod and iPhone, I don't need another iPod lol
A. The iPad 4 by far, if you already have 2 very portable products, why get another one? But if you still need convincing, here is a list to prove it.
iPad 4 has Retina Display, Apple A6 processor (3 times as fast as the iPad Mini's A5 processor), faster, larger screen, better battery life, better for reading and browsing online, meanwhile, the only advantages of the iPad Mini are it's portability, lighter weight, and thinner.

A. ipad 4 has retina display, meaning better graphics. however, ipad 2's HD graphics are still very nice.
ipad 4 has a MUCH better camera than ipad 2, only a big deal if you take photos with the ipad, which you probably may not.
ipad 4 has a faster and newer processor, but ipad 2's processor is very fast for even graphic intensive games.
that's pretty much it.
not much major differences that really affect daily performance.
ipad 2 may be good enough, unless you want the best and newest knick knacks.

A. iPad 4 has good amount of features. Like:
- Dual Camera.. Rear 5MP and rec capability @1080p.. Front facing 1.2MP @720p (vs front facing HD camera)
- Quad core GPU
- 9.8" screen (vs 8.9")
- 2048*1536 Retina Display @264PPI (vs 1920*1200 HD display @254PPI)
- Apple app store is huge (Amazon app store is growing rapidly but still has around 80k apps.. But not to worry as you have the option of Sideloading apps from google play store.. No need of rooting)
While Kindle Fire HD has advantages like:
- Way cheaper price tag
- Stereo speakers
- Dual WiFi antenna for faster streaming and downloads
- Digital Dolby audio speakers for best sound
IMO if you have the money to go for the iPad otherwise Kindle Fire HD is a really good replacement where you dont have to give up much other than the benefits I mentioned above for iPad.
