Q. I have a Samsung Galaxy S3 with a Micro SD card in it. I spent HOURS organizing music and putting it on the card. this was the second time, the first time I had put music on the SD card it jumbled everything up. so the second time it worked just fine, but after a few weeks it took half the songs and pretty much erased the artist and album titles. now when i plug it into my computer to try and change it, i cant change the artist or album only the title (which is just fine). Is there a way i can fix this, or a way i can keep this from happening again? I have been trying to just change it though my computer folder, is there a special program i can use? plus on a side note, i use Amazon Player on my phone, can i import a CD Amazon cloud or do i need to keep importing it to iTunes and some how transferring it. Any help would be Awesome. Thank you!
A. Download the kies program from the play store or the Samsung site to your computer, it should already be on your phone by default. It is the program you should be using for your phone. It lets you do almost anything on your phone.
When I load music and pics onto my phone with it its easy, just drag and drop to and from you're computer. It also lets you do import and export as well as backups of your phone. You can also make changes while your in it to what is on your phone like what you describe.
I like to edit my contacts that way I find it easier then doing it from my phone keyboard.
Once you see how much you can do with kies you will see why its better for your phone.
Its free in both the google play and Samsung sites.
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 vs. iPhone 5?
Q. Which one should I get?
A. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 because
(Sorry if this is long but it's to clearly show how the Note 2 is better than the iphone5
1.It is cheaper(this depends on where you live)
2.It is quicker (1.6 quad core processor vs a dual core processor
3.Microsd- you can expand the memory with a 64gb microsd. This a cheaper way to expand your memory and you can have a 16 gb note 2 and still have more storage than iphone 5 if you get a 64gb microsd.
4.USB OTG- you can read usb keys no problem with an adapter so you can check out whats on them so you don't have to put your computer on.
5.Microusb charger- Better than the lighting connector as you can get them easily and cheaply but also you might have it from other devices as it is becoming standard for smartphones to use microusbh chargers.
6.Removable battery- This means you can replace the battery if you run out of charge when you are around unlike the iphone 5 which you have to charge or bring an external charger and charge it from there, however this is an akward way of charging your phone. Also the removable battery can help you prevent water damage as you can remove the battery if it falls in water, thus reducing the chances of water damage.
7.NFC- Want to transfer a music album quicker than bluetooth, well now you can with NFC. Yopu can also use Tectiles to make your life easier(check out this site to learn more about them http://www.samsung.com/us/microsite/tectile/ )
8.Customizable- Change launcher(Are you bored, get a new launcher that suits you and your personality), custom ROM your phone and have access to apps specifically made for rooted devices directly on the play store. You control the device so that it suits you.
9.Dropbox- Love cloud storage well Samsung is offering 50gb free of charge to Note 2 owners for 2 years on Dropbox. Backup music, video, photos(this can be done automatically), documents etc. Who doesnât want this amount of free cloud storage?(You have to complete a certain amount of steps to get the free storage but none requires any credit card details or anything to complicated) (N.B Not everyone will be offered this bonus as carriers have own to have stopped Samsung from offering this to customers).
10.Screen- It is amazing and enourmous(yes this is an advantage). Yes it has less ppi(267ppi Note 2 vs 326ppi iphone 5) however if you compere it to the ipads ppi(264 ppi) which everyone says is amazing you understand than you barely see the difference in ppi, butt you can see the difference in colours as the amoled display is has amazing colours. The big screen is also an advantage as it as you can do so much more with it, multitask for example, I wrote this whole review using my Note 2 with a keboard and mouse connected via usb which shows that the screen is big enough to work on no problem unlike the iphone5s screen. I also found no problems when using one hand, and I have medium hands if not small hands, If you are going to type Samsung included a feature that allows you to make the keyboard smaller so you can use one hand without a problem.
11.LED indicator- A small LED onh the top of your device shows what notifications you got by distinguishing them with colours(For example blue for email, green for charged) This means you can see what the notification was about without putting your screen on. It is extremely useful feature for those than hate wasting time.
12.Android features-Widgets, live wallpapers, Google Now and all the beauty of android.
13.Samsung added features-
A.Smartstay- won't turn thye screen off if you are still looking at it,
B. Lock screen apps- launch apps directly from your lock screen so once you have unlocked your phone it launches the app directly.
C.Multitasking- watch videos while online, write an email while watching a video, send a message while surfing the web, you can split the screen in two so you can multitask without a bother.
D.Notification bar- Better notification bar then the iphones as you can toggle your setting without lauchiung the settings app.
E.Etc- I could go on for days but you get the idea.
14. S-pen -adds functionality to your phone, write handwritten notes, sign pdfs, make a work of art, its all possible with the s-pen which is miles more advanced than any stylus for the iphone. There are so many features on the Note 2 based on the use on the s-pen all for you to find out, check Samsungs Youtube channel to dicover more or follow them on Google + to find out mopre features based on the use of the s-pen.
15.Durability- The Note 2 does not suffer from scratches like the iphone 5 where the back of the phone is aluminium and scratches really easy, the Note 2 does not suffer this fate
Hope this helped
Enjoy your new phone no matter which one it is
Smartphone question? iPhone 4 vs Samsung Galaxy? Music?
Q. Currently I have a small old phone for texting and calls and an iPod touch for music. I want to replace these two devices with one smartphone. I am thinking of the Samsung Galaxy S2 or the iPhone 5, when it comes out later this year. I am wondering which phone is ultimately a better product? I'm wondering if the Galaxy's music application is as good as the much-loved iPhone's iPod feel? I'm mainly focusing on music here, but feel free to share whatever you want about the two devices.
Thanks!
P.S. The iPhone 5 hasn't even been announced yet, so think that the iPhone 5 has exactly the same music application as the iPhone 4 does.
P.P.S. Does the Galaxy have a feature like "Find my iPhone" or "HTC Sense" so I can find the exact whereabouts of my phone when I lose it?
A. Definitely go for the iPhone! The only difference music-wise with the 4 and the 5 will probably just be the quality of sound if they update the speakers
Since you have an iTouch it won't be a hard transition, plus you already have apps from Apple you can redownload for free!
I've found with the iPhone 3GS, they're extremely difficult to break but pretty easy to lose.
The iPhone 4 is great but if you're gonna get one definitely get either a case or bumpers because the helicopter glass still will crack like a spider web if it's dropped right (this isn't covered in any warranty).
If you have a choice of network, check which provider has better service coverage in YOUR area, not which has more coverage. (AT&T offers service boosters for houses if you end up not getting reception at your house, or even at work).
Also, depending on the reason for breakage, AT&T will just exchange the phone with a brand new one for free (with warranty) whereas Verizon charges for it to be fixed.
