Should I get the Nexus 7 or the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 Student Edition?

Q. Been look for a new tablet since my old one is out dated and my school is now allowing us to use our smartphones and tablet for educational purposes. I was wondering which would be more better for school. Initially I was gonna go for the Nexus 7 but now I'm kind of second guessing myself. Can anyone tell me Pros and Cons of each tablet?

A. Definitely the Galaxy Tab I'll say. There's a very good comparison with the Nexus 7 here, by an actual user:

If you add-on tax and shipping cost, the Nexus 7 would be about the same price as the Galaxy Tab, plus it doesn't have the keyboard add-on. The Galaxy Tab is the better deal.

Nexus 7 (pricing already includes tax & shipping cost):

Can you type papers on a Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0?
Q. Is there an app that can allow one to "take notes" like the iPad mini? I need it for school. Also, how long is the battery life on a Samsung Galaxy tab 2 7.0? And can the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 7.0 have multiple emails like the iPad?

A. Yes you can use Galaxy Tab 2 for taking notes. You have Google play store with over 900k apps in which there are tons of apps for note taking purpose.
