Q. This might sound like a ridiculous question, but I've been wondering. Do you need a Bluetooth headset (headphones & mic) if you want to talk to someone on FaceTime or is it possible to do it with just earphones with no mic at all?
A. If you use headphones you would have to have one with the microphone clicker thing on it, I think if you dont have it the microphone on the ipad itself will be used instead

A. On the top, there should be a little round hole. That's the headphone jack, where you plug in earphones :)

Srry, i misspelled a little.
A. When you take your earphones out it pauses videos and music, did you press play again after you took your ear phones out? Also the iPad and the ear phones have two separate volume, have you turned the volume up when you have taken the earphones out? If it still dont work send it back to apple, it should be covered under your warranty.
