I want to buy an Ipad 3, and i will buy with it a cover, i just don't know which one is good, i checked amazom.com i found some good covers, but when i go to the comments, people say that the magnet is weak, almost all of them, i want a good quality cover, if you have a cover and you think it is good, just tell me the name, and i can check on the internet and see if it is good or not.

A. No. The first iPad doesn't have the magnets in it that the iPad 2 has for the cover to connect. The cover & iPad both have magnets which is what makes it work.

Q. Okay, I was putting songs on my iPad from my dell laptop and so I opened the cover and laid the cover on my pc while syncing and all a sudden, pc went to sleep! Pressed the power button and it went right back to what I was doing. Is that normal/bad for pc? Why does it work? Thanks
A. Yes this is bad for the PC. the iPad smart cover has magnets on the side on the metal rod. so when you lay the cover on your pc it's magnetizing either the circuit board on the inside or the battery. when the computer detects something wrong with the electronic circuits it shuts off the computer for safety reasons.
My recommendation, don't lay the iPad smart cover on top of your laptop
