Look a Asus Transformer EEE is a good option
And if you have the money I would recommend a Lenovo ThinkPad Tablet 700 dollars but you will be able to connect everything and replace you laptop
If you are on the budget side go with a HP WebOS TouchTAB
The Samsung Galaxy Tab just doesn't offer what you are looking for....plus if youre buying from a cellular store your going to end up paying a lot for the tablet that will be out dated in 6 months actually it already is....Most have Dual core processors and 1gb of RAM and at least 64Gb or Memory...You shouldn't buy that Galaxy...you will be disappointed.
Is there anyway to get 4g on the samsung galaxy note 10.1 white?
Q. I know that the note 10.1 white doesnt come with the 4g adapter in the tablet but is there any accessories you can buy to make it 4g? For example usb to pin connector and a 4G Verizon adapter? Thats just an example it doesn't have to be Verizon.

Q. I'm a college student ( I study engineer) and I'm tired of using notebooks. I've been searching for a while about tablets and i really can't decide between those two. I know that the samsung one comes with a stylus and that i would have to buy one for the ipad. I don't want to spend my money on something i won't enjoy to the fullest.
A. Hey there. IMO the Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 is more suited for your needs. The fact that it has a S Pen making it way more easier to take notes and the other fact is that it is optimized to take notes on the go where you simply have to draw the S Pen out to start the S Note app.

If you look from an entertainment side also the Galaxy Note 2014 does have the better features I.e The screen resolution is better for movies, quad core processor and 3Gb RAM plus you can do multi-tasking on it.
The multi-screen allows you to do two tasks on same screen side-by-side which can be useful for taking notes while watching some lecture video or even reading PDF's etc.
The iPad Air is slimmer, sleeker and costs lower compared to the Galaxy Note 10 and it gives you a better variety of apps and accessories. But you cant increase memory storage as it has no microSD slot. Except that it does gives you a good value for money.
