A. You can. Maybe your headphones are the wrong size or there is something inside the headphones port. You need 3.5mm headphones.
Headphones not Working with IPad?
Q. This has been an issue for awhile. When I try to listen to audio on my iPad my headphones only work if I am or am not putting pressure on certain parts of the iPad.
I haven't dropped or soddened my iPad.
A. Hello. :)
Your headphone jack is loose.
This means that the plug of your headphone is too small for the hole of your iPad. Perhaps your headphones are not made for the iPad? iPods/iPads have a more specific hole that not all 35mm jacks can fit. The reason why sound can be heard only when you apply pressure on certain parts of the jack is because you are forcing the jack to come into contact with the hole.

A. The headphones should be plugged in at the top left-hand corner. Which left you say? The left that is opposing the lock button. Here is a link just in case you don't understand. It's number 8
