Q. thinking about buying a galaxy s2 but only using it on wifi, will it work, if so which carrier should i get, does it matter? or should it be unlocked? i just would like to use it as an ipod touch but the specs are wayy better
what i mean is i was wondering if i could use it as a media player without the phone, without activating it, thanks!
A. Yes you can do that. you dont have to have an unlocked phone. Samsung provides pc suite called kies do install on your pc. Now with galaxy s2 samsung have provided a new feature called kies air, you can synchronise or play music over wifi between your pc and phone. awesome feature it is. and galaxy s2 is an awesome phone obviously. I am using galaxy s2.
yes you are right galaxy s2 has way better features and go for it. Good luck hope i have answered you. :)
Blackberry Playbook or Samsung Galaxy 5.0 Media Player?
Q. Hi, I have a Blackberry Playbook. It won't charge in the wall, so I took it to the Geek Squad, and they said they would give me a new one. Should I keep the new Playbook? Or sell it for 200 new in box and get a Samsung Media Player? Or what other electronic device would you recomend for about 250 or less. The reason why I didn't go iPod is because 8GB is not enough. 16GB atleast or 8GB with Micro SDcard slot or free cloud storage is what I need. What would you recommend?
A. I would say keep the Playbook. They are coming out with a major update for it later this month (includes access to Android Market, native email/contacts/calender etc, BB Video Store, and some other stuff). It will also have a newish look to the OS as well. The only reason they are so cheap now is because they are planning on releasing new Playbook models in March I believe.
How do I put music from windows media player onto my Samsung galaxy s3?
Q. Ok so i hate Samsung kies.. It sucks. I cant edit the music info. So I decided to use windows media player to edit the properties of the music that I have. Now i am having trouble moving that music onto my GS3. What do I do? Is there anyway of doing this without buying another program? This is stressing me out because I am used to putting things into iTunes and editing it and syncing. Please Help!!!!!
A. "I decided to use windows media player to edit the properties of the music that I have."
Why bother? MP3tag which is freeware,is much easier. Just use that to edit the files on your computer.
"Now i am having trouble moving that music onto my GS3. What do I do?"
What have you done? Your question doesn't describe what you've done or what happened when you tried.
I don't have the S3 or any smartphone, but I've easily put music and other stuff on my basic phone for years without the need for windows media player or any syncing software. If there's an installed microSD card on the phone, you can easily connect the phone to the pc using usb as a mass storage device. Your manual should have directions about how this is done. Though it should happen immediately as soon as you make the connection. The benefits of connecting this way is that the PC will show up as a flash drive to which you can easily copy and paste to and from.
