Q. I don't know if I should get a Kindle Fire or an ipod touch, what is the difference anyway besides the size?
I also hear that you can text on the ipod touch, what is up with that? And for free? Can you go on the internet with an ipod touch?
A. Kindle Fire is more of a tablet so its better for Internet use and watching movies. The iPod Touch is more portable. I have both and I use my Kindle Fire more than my touch because it's bigger and web browsing is a better expirence. You also get Amazon Prime the first 30 days of using your kindle which lets you watch movies for free. If you have netflix you can watch netflix movies on your kindle (you can also get the netflix app on the iPod Touch but again the Kindle Fire has a bigger screen and is better for watching movies) You can't really go wrong with either choice though
EDIT: Yes you can get on the Internet with an iPod Touch but you need wifi, same for the Kindle Fire. And yes you download a texting app, which I believe you can get on the Kindle Fire as well. Its free because you do it over wifi. If you don't know what wifi is, its something you connect to your Internet that allows you to use your Internet service on other devices like the ipod touch or kindle fire or laptop. You can buy a Linskys wifi thing for like $30.

Q. i preordered a kindle touch, the new one, and lately, i heard alot of this freezing issue, and in youtube, everyone's complainin about it so im jus wonderin if i shud cancel my order and buy and buy another e reader instead?, i need your opinion,

Hey, Guy, Incoming Kindle Touch will have a touch screen and no page turn lag but it still flashes black on each page turn, it's battery only lasts one months with one hours daily reading with Wi-Fi off (Amazon web site states two months but with HALF an hour reading that is the same things as before but a different marketing.)
I'd recommend instead e-Ink Nook Simpletouch from Barnes & Noble as it has the latest generation touch screen display, no page turn lag, it weights less, its battery lasts twice as long (two months on one charge), it doesn't blink black on each page turn, and it has microSD card slot that can increase your content capacity by up to 32 GB - much better than current Kindle 3 or Kindle Keyboard or Kindle Touch. Also, it just came out from Amazon that on the new Kindle Touch 3G they limit what web sites you can access (only Amazon store and Wikipedia are allowed.)
Nook (unlike Kindle) supports both DRM-protected and DRM-free ebooks in ePub format that is the most used eBook fromat in the world thus it supports ebooks from B&N store, from any other DRM-free source on the web, and from public libraries. If you walk in with the Nook to Barnes & Noble store, youâre allowed to read ANY available eBook for free while in the store via free provided in the store Wi-Fi. Nook store has over 2 million of paid books and about the same number of free public domain books.
kindle touch vs nook simple touch?
Q. both seem about the same but i really want to know which is the easiest to get books from: B&N or Amazon also any recommendations for mostly wanting to read on it??? i really need some advice
A. The Kindle Touch is a better device in that it supports audio files. The Nook Simple Touch doesn't. So if you have the Kindle you can listen to music or audiobooks while reading.
As for purchasing, buying ebooks for the Kindle is simple. You register the Kindle and associate it with your Amazon account. When you shop in the Kindle Store, you have the usual Buy Now button. Under that it says "Deliver wirelessly to" and you select your device, which should show up on a drop-down menu is you have more than one. Select the Kindle in question and buy the ebook. As soon as you turn the Kindle on, it connects to the server and downloads the book in seconds.
