Q. I have owned multiple touch screen devices and I have always put screen protectors on them. Is the iPad screen scratch resistant or does it still need one? How many of you have a screen protector for your iPad?
A. Apple states that the display on the iPad is a scratch and grime resilient glass surface. I bought my iPad a few days ago, and as of yet haven't purchased a screen protector. It seems pretty resilient, but perhaps its better to be safe than sorry. Ultimately, however, it comes down to preference. Personally, I don't feel the need to buy one.
iPad mini screen protectors?
Q. I just got an iPad mini for my birthday I purchased a screen protector and I know that people use a credit card to get the bubble out. Is that bad for the actual iPad? Help!!!!
A. Just use it gently. Since you'll be using it on the protector film, it should be ok if you don't press it too hard. I suggest try a thick / plastic business card first. You could also use a piece of thin cloth and gently move the bubbles towards the edges with your thumb. Hope this helps...
Glossy VS Matt screen protector Ipad?
Q. I noticed there are two types. For the ipad which is better ( i generally use it at home, sometimes take it outside). Whats the difference and which ones better?
May be in the wrong section sorry :/
A. I couldn't say which one is better because they both have their benefits and its definitely personal preference! Its important either way that you get screen protectors that are good quality so they last longer, are easier to install, and don't leave a residue on your screen. Cellairis.com has great screen protectors. That being said, here are the major differences:
Matte (Anti-Glare) will help reduce the glare on your screen caused by the sun or other bright lights. They will also not show fingerprint smudges as much which allows you to limit how often you wipe your screen. The anti-glare protector is going to allow your fingers to glide across the screen easier because of its no-grip texture. You may have to readjust for this if you play a lot of games. Finally, the anti-glare protector will give your iPad a bit of a grey tint and pixilate your screen. Some people compare this to watching an old tv set. Some people aren't bothered by it at all. If you plan on watching a lot of movies I wouldn't recommend using an anti-glare screen protector.
Clear (Glossy) will look just like your screen if you get the right quality. The Cellairis brand are hardly noticeable if they are applied correctly. The clear screen protector will simply protect your screen and won't add any other major benefits.
Either way, make sure you apply them correctly because bubbles are very annoying and its difficult to avoid them with the size of an iPad screen.
