Does My Gold Envelope pay well for cellphones and small amounts of jewelry?

Q. I have some extra phones, and a few rings, and I'd like some extra cash for an iPad and/or the Palm Pre Plus, so I was just curious to if they actually pay well. Thanks! =)

A. I donât know what cash4gold will pay. I do know from my past experience, that I sent them a scrap jewelry ring and they paid me $50.26. I rejected the offer and they returned my ring promptly. I then found another company, http://www.captaincashforgold.com/ that paid me $193 for the same ring!! and they enclosed a track able Fedex pack along with $500 insurance as opposed to some crappy envelope from cash4gold that you cant even track. I really got burned a couple of times using a couple of different cash for gold companies but with http://www.captaincashforgold.com/ I feel I finally found one that I could really trust with my valuables.

Original Question

Help please!! How do I log/sign out in the mail of the ipad?
Q. Okay.. First of all the mail im referring to is the homepage of the ipad app. The white envelope with blue background icon that's label "Mail" I was writing something in the Notes app then when i send it, it showed me a few choices like google mail, yahoo mail, etc.. I picked yahoo mail and it showed that i have to fill in my email add and password. After that i went to a window similar to yahoo mail and stuff only less options.. Anyway after i finally sent the message i exited the app then went back to the homepage i noticed that i was still sign in in that mail app and there's some notification of my unread mails. When i went back to that app there no sign out or log out button there! I looked everywhere! So frustrating! i don't want my folks reading my emails and stuff! I need privacy! Now Im in total distress here figuring out this damn problem of mine.. If you know something about thi, please help me. This is urgent!!

A. I will be honest with you. If you are having trouble with setting up the basics on your Ipad, you will probably not be able to learn the full capability of it on your own. I've answered so many questions for friends and family on how to use their iphones and ipads, that I now send them to this site so they can learn at their own pace. I think this would be helpful for you. Good luck.

Original Question

How can I send yahoo mail from my ipad?
Q. When I go into yahoo mail, all I get are my mailboxes. I want to be able to compose and send mail from my yahoo page. The iPad has different mail function that will use my yahoo mail address but it does not use my yahoo contacts.

A. There's two ways to do it. I'm going to give you a lot of information here, so I'm sorry in advance that my answer is so long. Feel free to comment on my answer if you need any clarification.

Before I start, you can search the contents of your iPad by name if you can't find the apps I mention below. Press the round home button once or twice, and a search box will pop up. You can easily find Mail, Settings, Safari, or anything else on your iPad this way.

The easiest way to access your yahoo email is through the default mail app. It came pre-installed on your iPad.

******* How to set up the default mail app on your iPad: **********

1. Open up your iPad settings (it's a gray icon with gears on it)
2. On the left column, tap on "mail, contacts, calendars"
3. Tap on "Add Account..." and then "Yahoo! Mail"
4. Add your name, email address and password as directed
5. At this point it will verify the info. If there's a problem with verification, make sure you're connected to the Internet and that your info is correct.
6. Exit settings and open the mail app (it's an envelope on a sky background)

Now your yahoo email will show up, and you won't have to go through that settings process again, unless you have another email account you want to add.

****** Access your yahoo email through Safari ********
Personally I like the default mail app much better. But there's no way to password protect it, unless you put a password lock on your whole iPad. So if you're uneasy about that, you can try Safari instead. Just open it up, type mail.yahoo.com and enter your account info. It will look the same as if you had logged in from your regular computer, via Internet Explorer, or whatever your browser of choice is. It might give you a message about your resolution being incorrect. It gives you the option to continue in classic mode, which seems to work just fine.

I hope that helps! On a side note, if you plan on doing a lot of typing from your iPad, I'd really recommend buying the keyboard to go with it.
