Q. I have an iPad, HDMI cable, HDMI adapter and an Insignia TV. I connect everything per the instructions. Set the TV input to HDMI but I only get a "No signal" on the TV screen. What else should I try?
A. The only way to play the iPad on the TV is to play a movie or video. The HDMI cable only connects videos and such not just the screen itself. I have not tried playing a presentation from keynote on there but that might work too.
Sound through ipad 2 av adapter not through hdmi?
Q. I have the ipad av adapter but i run sound in my theater room through either optical or ryw cables. Is their anyway for the sound to go through the headphones cable or anyplace other than the hdmi?
A. once you connect the ipad hdmi adapter, sound will go through the hdmi port. maybe you can go with an audio amplifier to split the audio out. or connect your theater from TV audio output
iPad 2.................?
Q. thoughts?
A. The iPad 2 is very much a video device. The resolution is the same, the price is the same and the battery life is the same. The new feature is a front and back facing camera which was not available on the original iPad.
The second generation iPad 2 will have 3G network support along with Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n) and Bluetooth 2.1+EDR. Apple has shelled out a new HDMI cable connector that promises 1080p HD video output when connected to the proprietary 30-pin dock connector port on the iPad 2.
