Q. 1.I am 13.
2.I also know that I would be able to bring it to school.
What are the goods and bads
A. I am a Junior in High School, and to me it's worth it because I can do a lot of my English Honors essays and other work on it.
Is it worth buying?
Well, depends what you want it for.
Like my reason for buying it was that it was a good portable computer and I could do my homework on it. I also had some spare money lying around, so yeah.
If you're in Junior High, then I don't see many things you can do on it, I mean I couldn't see myself using one back then.
Besides, if you took it to school, you gotta be careful, I mean you never know who might jump you to get it.
Pros about it:
Comes in handy if you do a lot of essays or need to browse the web.
Nice portable "computer."
Great battery life.
Music.
Video.
Cons:
People always have their eye on it.
And thats it =P
Anyways, if you are like me and you have to do a lot of typing, then yeah you should get it.
If you just want it to show off, then definitely not; you will end up regretting that you showed off.
IPAD: PROS/CONS..........?
Q. I am a junior in college and I am looking at buying an ipad. I know the ipad 2 is coming out but I am not interested in facetime and all that. I currently have three ipods and an iphone and I have been pleased with them. I am looking at using the ipad for school purposes: book apps, note apps, etc. I know this will not replace a laptop (which i have). Is it worth the 500$?
A. Get a laptop, or a netbook. But, if you want a tablet, just go with Asus EEE Slate. It's much better and faster than the iPad or the iPad 2. Check it out here: http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=QhWKR7Fmv4jDLbBY
IPad 2 VS Mac book air?
Q. Im a junior in high school and am debating on what to buy, a iPad 2 or mac book air. I have an iPhone 4 and love it. I don't need to be able to do much, only type documents(easy papers) for school. I'll be going to college in a year and half about and am wondering if I should just got MBA. The iPad seems to be more fun though, but idk if it'll be enough. I'd plan on buying a keyboard for it though. Im not worried about the capacity because all my music and email are on my phone. So would having the iPad 2 with pages and Dropbox be enough for someone like me or would the MBA be the better option?
A. Definitely get the Air. Not that the iPad 2 is bad by any means, but you already have an iPhone 4 - meaning you already have most of the functionality (especially with apps) of the iPad 2, just on a smaller screen.
And while you might not need the Air in high school, you're more than likely going to come across classes that require full desktop operating systems for specific software, or online school sites that won't display/work properly on the iPad 2's browser. In general, the Air is just more capable, and who knows - maybe you'll need the power the Air provides, depending on your major.
EDIT: Also, if you're short on cash or something, have you considered getting a keyboard/dock for your iPhone and a video-out cable (to connect it to a TV or monitor)? You can probably get away with doing simple papers for school and not have to deal with the small screen.
