Overcharged Samsung Galaxy Note/Tab 10.1?

Q. I took a quip nap and left my tab charging by an hour because the app says last time charged is 0:01. I woke up at 1:00. So approximately, yeah, one hour. Does it have negative effects on my tab? Does the battery or charger of this Samsung have an over-charging protection where the battery/charger stops charging when it's already 100%?
Does this samsung charger of Galaxy Note supports that feature?

A. Yes it does my samsung tablet stop charging at 100 % there is a over charge limit switch inside the samsung tablet to keep it from overcharging and burning up all tablets and smartphone have some sort of limit swich inside of them to keep them from overcharging, reminder leaving it on charge like a laptop will also decrease the battery life

Original Question

Samsung galaxy note 10.1 charger issues?
Q. I think i may have a charger issue. I am using the original charger and it doesnt seem to charge while in use. it dies as if it werent even charging. It charges while not in use and on, but charges slower while turned on. turned off, It charges faster but takes longer than usual. Do you think it is the charger or the battery?? and no, there isnt a red X across the battery

A. Seems it's charging slower than it should be? Did you charge it with laptop, or with wall plug? Charging via laptop will make it much slower. And have you tried to restart the device?

There's also a good possibilty, that the battery montior software gets out of sync with charge in the battery. It'll make the device having issues on charging/battery, having frozen screen, etc. There's a good discussion here, on how to fix such kind of problem:

The discussion is for the Kindle tablets, but same steps will work on any Android tablets.

Original Question

Samsung Galaxy tablet 10.1; red X on charging icon?
Q. I have a new (1 month) Samsung Galaxy Tablet 10.1 and suddenly the charging icon has a red X and it charges slowly. I have tried every possible way to plug it in...directly into the wall, through the computer. I've made sure it is the 2 amp plug (not the 1 amp for my phone).

I've seen some suggestions about holding down the power and volume buttons, etc. but the screen that pops up scares me. :)

Any easy way to fix this considering I am in no way computer/tablet savvy?

A. Hi. That's a common problem with the new type of charger that Samsung now produce for tablets. They used detachable USB Cords, with a Power Outlet extension. There is nothing wrong with your tablet. The problem is with your USB Cord, It is broken and cannot establish a proper current to charge your device. if you are having trouble on charging it while using the Tablet, then i do suggest you look for a new charger. But if there are instances that you don't use your Tablet, Put it into Power Saving mode while charging. So it would save energy ad properly charge your tablet.

PS: Do not let your tablet drain its battery. Most of the time, people get a hard time to recharge devices with this kind of problem when their battery got drained.
