Q. Hi guys. I have an update coming up in a few days. I want to get a Samsung fascinate but I see mixed reviews. I know it's two years old, but I really like the model (the way it looks), more so than the droid smartphones. Does anyone have that phone? Any problems with it? Thanks.
A. If you don't need the top of the line specs like a dual core processor or 4G, then it's still a solid smartphone. It's still great for surfing the internet, texting, phone calls, and apps... it just won't be the top dog in multitasking and video games.
Personally, those are things I can sacrifice in terms of a good looking phone. I feel the same way about the Samsung Captivate on the AT&T. The Samsung Galaxy S phones are gorgeous.
The only problem you should have is when the major updates like Android OS upgrades come to play. You can probably handle the next major upgrade just fine, but later on they will start to lag your phone. And the cons of Samsung phones (in this case perk for you) is that the major upgrades are always delayed, so your Samsung Fascinate should satisfy you until your next smartphone upgrade. You can google the whole Samsung Galaxy and delayed Android Froyo debacle.
The next Samsung phone will be the Nexus Prime (which will be the king of Androids because of its first dibs on Android upgrades and top of the line specs), but there isn't any pictures for how it will look yet and it isn't available until the end of next month. And sadly, the next line of premium Samsung Galaxy phones, the Samsung Galaxy S2 phones won't come to Verizon (They passed it up because they believe they have an already good arsenal of smartphones).
I would say go for it because if you get another phone that you don't really want, you'll end up regretting it and always playing the whole "what if I got the Samsung Fascinate" game. I did that with the T-Mobile G2, and I ended up buying the G2 later on off Ebay. I have been happy with it since then.
If you want a new Samsung Fascinate, Bestbuy still offers them (and for free too).

Verizon offers it for $39.99 but it comes refurbished (meaning someone else has used it before you).
You will love the Samsung Fascinate. I'm still using a G2 which is around the same age as your Samsung Fascinate, and it performs great. Enjoy your new smartphone!
Connecting my samsung galaxy gt 1900 to comp?
Q. i bought my samsung galaxy gt 1900 last month second hand and i didnt get the usb cable to go with it. i was wondering whether i can connect my computer and my phone via my wireless internet? and if so how?
i have a lot of pictures of my new born baby on the phone and i would like to transfer them to my comp just in case the phone was lost or broken.
any help greatly appreciated, thanks in advance.
A. 1) If you have blue tooth cap capabilities es on your computer, you can easily exchange between the two devices
2) You can email the photos to yourself and then open them up on your email account on your computer
3) Get a sd card & an adapter. Transfer the pictures on the card and then put the card in the computer and extract them.
4) I have a Galaxy phone too [The Fascinate] & there is a pre-loaded app called all share where you can connect the computer and phone via wi-fi and share all your files
Does the white samsung fascinate scratch easy?
Q. I was wondering because i'm gonna bu a screen protector and i was wondering if I should get a case or Zagg cover
A. Well you can get a case but all Samsung galaxy S phones have Gorilla glass which is very durable and can take a beating and doesn't scratch that easy unless you are stabbing the thing.
