Q. Hi everyone, i have some issues with my phone.
1. Youtube problem: When playing video on youtube application for my android phone, always said that unsupported video format. But I can watch you tube through Google Chrome or others browser. What should I do to fix this problems?
2. charging problem: -last few days its stop charging from wall charger but after removal of battery it starts charging.
-it keep charging battery icon even after removal of charger pin from charging port but after restart of phone it get to normal. How can i solve these issues ?
A. For Problem no 2:
Even I had the same problem with my Samsung GT-i9070 phone.
I went through some blogs and found that either there is a software problem or it may be hardware.
So I went down to the authorized Samsung service center [Chennai, Parry corner] and explained my problem to them.
They inspected the same, and informed me to change the connector because there was a water log.
Note:
They said for water log problem there is no warranty covered.
Then after few days, I went on to other authorized Samsung service center[Chennai, Anna Nagar], to my surprise they said there is a problem with the connector [Means no water log] and it has to be replaced.
I said my phone is under warranty. I got the reply from them saying they will replace it for free since its in warranty period. immediately after few minutes later they informed me that part is out of stock and it will take maximum of 7-10days.
Beware:
These guys can make you fool around saying
a. water log problem,
b. Parts out of stock
Do not believe them, unless they show water log on your hardware in person
Ipad or Samsung Galaxy Tab?
Q. Ipad 16gb 1st Gen. or Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0? I have a $350 budget. Anything else that might be worth that price? I've read reviews but I am hoping someone that has used both of these can tell me what I should get.
Thanks in advance!
A. Samsung Galaxy Tab 7.0
- While it is a smaller screen, unlike the iPad, it supports HD and Adobe Flash
- The Android operating system is much more flexible than Apple's (ie. Adobe Flash)
- The iPad tablet is very poor in the respect that it only comes with the space you buy it with.
- To my knowledge, every non-Apple device/tablet may come with an SD card slot. For the Galaxy, this means you can buy it at any storage size, and spend significantly less money by purchasing/using an SD card with the space you truly desire.
I have not used either of these extensively, but I have used them enough to notice differences. I also know many people who went from Android to Apple and greatly regret it. As far as your budget, the Amazon Kindle Fire is also 7 inches, and works as a tablet. However, I know nearly nothing of this product, except for it being in your price/screen size range.
iPhone 4s vs. Samsung Galaxy S II?
Q. In about 4 months I would like to upgrade my phone. Problem is I really want an iPhone 4s but I have tmobile and they don't carry iPhones so I am considering getting a samsung galaxy s II. But then I was also thinking about switching carriers to see if I can still get the iPhone 4s. I am thinking about Sprint. Is it worth it to move to Sprint and get an iPhone? Or should I stay with tmobile and get a samsung galaxy s II
A. The Samsung Galaxy S II is FAR MORE advanced than iPhone 4S. An iPhone is a closed wall garden with tight limits on what you can do with it.
Any Android phone gives you SO much options. You get a customizable home screen with widgets, live wallpapers and much more. On Android, everything you need is right there on your home screen. iPhone users are forced to flip through pages and pages of app lists and folders to locate and launch each app. For example, if you wanted to check the forecast, you would have to find the app, launch it, and then wait for it to load. With Android, all of that information can be displayed directly on your home screen, never more than a finger swipe away.
Android has the best notification system that even Apple had no choice but to concede their style, the pop up kind, and imitate Android.
You can also install custom roms on Android that give you a COMPLETELY NEW experience. Sometimes, it's like using a new phone. On iPhone, you can jailbreak it but the overall experience is the same. You're still stuck with the same exact interface.
The SGSII is the obvious choice.
