Samsung GTS5660 Galaxy Gio or Nokia C6-01?

Q. http://www.sharafdg.com/shop/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=4317 for nokia c6-01
http://www.sharafdg.com/shop/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=5814 for galxy

u dont need to read this but its just for better undestanding

A. Nokia Symbian is quite slow as compared to Samsung Galaxy Gio. Galaxy Gio is faster (800Mhz) vs Nokia C6-01 slower (600Mhz) processor. Galaxy Gio is running on Google Android Froyo (can be updated to Gingerbread) which has more applications and games as compared to C6-01. Gio has better interface, smoother web-browsing and 3d games. Whereas Nokia C6-01 has better camera (8MP vs Gio's 3.2MP) and higher resolution movies. Still C6-01 lacks auto-focus which Galaxy Gio have. But i think you should go for Galaxy Gio because Nokia is more interested in WindowsPhone 7 rather than Symbian, and Symbian is more out-dated and slow. You can check out these videos to know which is better. Do check out the web-browsing in both mobiles.

Original Question

Samsung Galaxy Gio FM Radio? (gt-s5660M)?
Q. I had bought a samsung gio in Canada.
The service provider is Bell.
There is an app called TV and Radio from Bell, but the radio option requires me to subscribe to an online streaming radio company.
The specs say that there is a FM radio but I cannot find the radio app.
Do I need to root my phone?

A. I hear it's pretty hard to get radio working, but fortunately there is an app that will allow you to listen to radio.Do a search for "Spirit FM Radio" in the market place. You will have to root your phone. This link will be very useful:

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1233707

I followed the instructions here to root and unlock it, as I have the same phone.

I am working to get the radio working.

Quote from RFD:
"Hey everyone, FM RADIO WORKS on the SAMSUNG GALAXY GIO GT-S5660M!!!!!

Go to Android market and search: Spirit FM Radio. The free download is a 7-day trial, so you can see if it works for you, and if it does you can purchase it (IT WILL)
1) Once you download it and install, go to Settings.
2) Under Settings, click "Audio Method"
3) Select "All," and exit settings.
*The only thing that will be working is the station/song guide, and signal strength.
4) Go back to Settings, and click "Regional Band"
*Default is "North America."
5) Select "United States."
******** YOU NOW HAVE RADIO!!!! **********

If you exit the program and reload it. You will have sound for only 5 sec. To fix this:
1) Go back to Settings, and click "Regional Band"
2) Select "North America"
******** RADIO IS BACK ********"
