A. Amazon has TONS of cases and most of them are inexpensive. Just go to the site & search samsung fascinate cases. There are some sites if you search google but you have to be careful! I was about to order a case, googled the site, and found out it was a scam. good luck!

Original Question

I have some phone questions please answer :)?
Q. So I have a samsung reality and am thinking about updating to the samsung fascinate
do you think it is a good chouce
also the fascinate is the only phone I will change to
so do you think i should switch or keep my reality

A. The Reality is a feature phone. It has done some things good, but when compared to the Fascinate, it is a little more than a basic phone. The Fascinate is an Android based smart phone of the custom Galaxy S line of phones tailored to particular carriers. I have been using smart phones for years, and do not see me ever wishing to have a basic or feature phone again. However, there are some things to note.

1. Being Android, you may want to have or create a Gmail account. Put all of your current contacts in the service before hand.
2. Set up all of your calendar entries in Google Calendar.
3. Consider Google Voice.
4. Be prepared to have plastic for Google Checkout in case you want anything from the Market.
5. Get insurance on the phone.
6. A data plan is required
7. Data and voice doesn't work simultaneously. Data pauses when on a call.

Once you get the Fascinate, login with the Gmail account. Your Gmail, Contacts, and Calendar will download to your phone. This will be much easier than entering manually.

Original Question

I'm having a little bit of phone trouble. Please help?
Q. Okay so I have a Samsung Fascinate Galaxy S (the white one? If that makes a difference lol) Anyways my soft keys stopped working, ya know the home, menu, back, and search, well I sent a message to Samsung asking how I should try and fix this. My phone is NOT activated I use it through Wifi to try and keep in touch with my family in case I go into labor, and need help being as I'm 36 weeks pregnant. Anyways, Samsung got back to me and they told me I should try taking the battery out for 30 seconds and if that doesn't work they told me to go to the Android System Recovery menu and wipe cache partition. Little did I know you have to be able to use the home button as the "OK" button, and since my soft keys don't work, guess what? I'm now stuck on the Android System Recovery menu, and have no idea how to fix it! Samsung told me I could send it in and if they found anything wrong with it I could get it repaired with a fee...I don't have the extra money to do this right now being as I'm getting ready to be a single mommy, with no help and no job, because some employers are assholes to pregnant women, and I'm having to buy things for my little one that she is going to need when she comes! Now I really need to get this phone working again because I have no way to get a hold of family members in case I need help, and I can't afford a new phone..Does anyone have any ideas how I can get off this stupid system recovery menu? I've tried taking the battery out and everything. I'm not that great with "Smart" phones so I don't really know what I'm supposed to be doing. Any advice would be great, and please don't be a jerk about it.
Well...It's a little late to fix the paragraph problem..So I'm sorry? I just want to fix my phone?
Thanks Ricky. I guess it's a hardware problem being as I don't have a case on it :/. Thanks for the help though greatly appreciated.

A. If possible download KIES on your computer and restore the firmware using that however it sounds like a potential hardware fault than software. Maybe try cleaning the softkeys as they may have just gotten dirty from continuous use (unless they are on screen rather than part of the phone case in which case could be software). That's all I have, hope one of these solutions help
