Q. i was wondering, since samsung is rolling out android 4.1 jellybean to many of its samsung models, if there will be an update to jellybean for the samsung galaxy tab 10.1 in the near future? (the original, not gal tab 2)
Really anxious.
A. According to this article Published on Sep 24, 2012
reported earlier today that Samsungâs Galaxy S3 has begun updating to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in Europe and Samsung has now revealed a full list of all devices which will also be updated.
The list includes the Galaxy S2, Galaxy Note, Galaxy S Advance, Galaxy Ace 2, Galaxy Beam, Galaxy Ace Plus and Galaxy Mini 2 for smartphones.
On the tablet front, thereâs the Galaxy Tab 2 7.0, Galaxy Tab 7.0 Plus, Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 and the recently launched Galaxy Note 10.1.
Naturally these are going to be coming at different times for different handsets in different regions, and also there's always the thorny issue of carrier approval for network locked devices.
There isnât any specific timeframe laid out at present but we expect Samsung will update its schedule in the coming weeksafter the Galaxy S3 update completes.
The update will include a number of UI changes, including Googleâs Project Butter to make everything noticeably smoother, and the new Google Now app.
Good handwriting/note taking app for Samsung Galaxy note tab 10.1 (not tab 2)?
Q. I bought the Samsung Galaxy note 10.1 tablet (the one that DOES NOT come with a stylus). I would like to know a good app that will allow me to handwrite notes in class and has a feature that will only recognize a stylus, so I am able to rest my palm on the screen and still take notes.
Any help would be much appreciated!!
Oh okay I was wondering why when I search these questions I get all sorts of wrong answers and different tablets. Thank you for that clarification! I have not tried that yet I will have to try it. I am debating whether I should keep it and see if this works or save up more and wait until the price goes down on the note tablet (the one that comes with a stylus) and return this one.

Should I get a Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 or iPad 2?
Q. Alright heres the deal:
I have an iPod touch 4th generation, but its starting to fail on me a bit (due to alot of drops). I am very familiar with using iTunes and the App Store, i bought alot of Games and Music already
But then again, i have a HTC Thunderbolt (Android Powered) so i am also familiar with their OS as well, i bought a few games on there. Nothing major
I really liked the fact that Android uses flash obviously, I also liked the widgets and what not. but the iTunes and Apple App Store is 100 times better then the Droid Market
So my question is, what should i buy? the galaxy tab or the ipad 2?
A. Samsung provides better widgets but Apple does serve better over a longer period of time. For example, Apple iPad will communicate very well with other Apple products you have through the new OS feature, iCloud (look it up on the web). Whereas Android products appear to be independent, once you get one Apple product you may as well start buying more of them, hence the phrase "Once you go Mac, you don't go back". If you want your device with more games, better quality and better value, it would be logical to pick the iPad 2.
Forget that, though. Android is a smart system and the Galaxy Tab is a very nice tablet, especially, as you pointed out that it uses Flash. The widgets on it are helpful. What I just cannot get my head round is the fact that Android still seems rather tacky! It's not, really, but the iPad would definitely win here.
It really does depend on what you already have. As I have a MacBook Pro, iPod Touch 4G, iPhone 3GS and Apple TV, it would obviously make sense for me to choose an iPad 2. In the situation you are in, I think its just down to personal opinion, really. If you were to get an Android tablet though, I would recommend you get a HTC Flyer as you are already aware of HTC technology.
