Are the Samsung Galaxy S and Samsung Captivate the same phone?

Q. I think the Galaxy S is with Cellular South and the Captivate is with AT&T. Someone told me they were the same phones but they look different. Any help? Thanks! (:

A. Hi.Yes you are correct. The Captivate is the Galaxy S phone but on AT&T. If you haven't noticed too, but there are other Galaxy S phones out there....
Galaxy S 4G
Samsung Continuum (Galaxy S)
Samsung Epic 4G (Galaxy S)
Samsung Fascinate / Mesmerize (Galaxy S)

Each phone has a different design, but same features. Some of the phones only run on CDMA network and others run on GSM network. That is another difference.

Original Question

Is Samsung Galaxy R good phone?
Q. i have budget of 22k so i have found choice of galaxy R because it is dual core
and 1gb Ram
actually i want to keep for 2years so
is samsung galaxy R is good choice?
are any problems wih Samsung Galaxy R
Is it good for future?
(i don't like xperia neo v because its screen hase boundry, xperia pro very fat,arc has slow performance)
So, please help me to choose good phone....
Thanx........

A. The LG Optimus 2X prides itself in being the first dual-core smartphone. The Samsung Galaxy R follows at quite some distance but runs on the same chipset - the NVIDIA Tegra 2. Both have comparable screens too: 4" of WVGA IPS LCD on the Optimus and a 4.2" WVGA SC-LCD on the Galaxy R.
What sets them apart is imaging - the Optimus 2X is in line with the current flagships with an 8MP still camera and 1080p video, while the Galaxy R stops at 5MP/720p.
Here's a quick summary of the ups and downs of the two phones in direct comparison.
Samsung I9103 Galaxy R over LG Optimus 2X:
A bigger screen: 4.2" vs. 4"
Thinner: 9.5mm vs. 10.9mm
Double the RAM: 1GB vs. 512MB
Faster HSDPA: 21Mbps vs. 7.2Mbps
Slightly better battery life
USB On-The-Go support
Bluetooth 3.0 vs. 2.1
LG Optimus 2X over Samsung I9103 Galaxy R:
Better still camera: 8MP vs. 5MP
Better video camera: 1080p vs. 720p
HDMI TV-Out (with cable in the box) over no TV-Out at all
The Optimus 2X has fewer wins in its column, but they're all major victories. At least on paper - we'll see if the difference holds up in our tests or if the Samsung camera can make up for the lower resolution with better detail.
There are, of course, other differences too. It's between Samsung's TouchWiz and LG's custom skin on top of Android Gingerbread. And there's the design and build quality too: both have metal inlays on the back but the Galaxy R is more than a millimeter thinner.
Conclusion
The LG Optimus 2X was a flagship in its heyday while the Samsung I9103 Galaxy R was simply meant as a more affordable version of the Galaxy S II. Nearly half a year sets the two apart, but they demonstrated very similar performance in our quick shootout.
The biggest differentiating factor between the two seems to be TV-Out - if you want to pair your phone with the TV, the LG Optimus 2X offers FullHD playback over HDMI with mirroring, whereas the Galaxy R has only the wireless DLNA option (also available on the 2X).
Other than that, the Optimus 2X has the better camera, but not by as much as the numbers suggest (8MP vs. 5MP, 1080p vs. 720p). The 10% bigger screen of the Galaxy R is much brighter than the 2X's display, but you'll have to settle for poorer black levels.
The tradeoffs go on - if you want to watch videos on the go, the Samsung phone offers a full hour more of battery life, but if you browse more than you watch video, then the LG will probably offer a smoother experience due to its better performance.
Then there are the subjective differences like styling, custom Android UIs and so on. These are matters of personal taste and we shouldn't be telling you which one is better.
It all boils down to what you use your mobile phone for. Any of the phones in this comparison would be more than happy to serve. And although the LG Optimus 2X clearly has the upper hand in imaging and connectivity, the bottom line is that both phones are hard to beat for their performance to price.
well neo V is also a good option but it has a smaller screen and a single core processor but sony is sony.well choice is yours.

Original Question

Samsung galaxy s4 VS I phone 5?
Q. I prefer S4 I PHONE sucks

A. This is why I believe that the Samsung Galaxy S4 is better than the iPhone 5
1. It is quicker (1.9 quad core processor/ 1.6ghz Octa core vs 1.3 dual core processor)
2. Microsd- you can expand the memory with a 64gb microsd. This a cheaper way to expand your memory and you can have a 16 gb S4 and still have more storage than iphone 5 if you get a 64gb microsd.
3. USB OTG- you can read usb keys no problem with an adapter so you can check out whats on them so you don't have to put your computer on.
4. Microusb charger- Better than the lighting connector as you can get them easily and cheaply but also you might have it from other devices as it is becoming standard for smartphones to use microusb chargers.
5. Removable battery- This means you can replace the battery if you run out of charge when you are around unlike the iphone 5 which you have to charge or bring an external charger and charge it from there, however this is an awkward way of charging your phone. Also the removable battery can help you prevent water damage as you can remove the battery if it falls in water, thus reducing the chances of water damage.
6. NFC- Want to transfer a music album quicker than bluetooth, well now you can with NFC. You can also use Tectiles 2 to make your life easier
7. Customizable- Change launcher(Are you bored, get a new launcher that suits you and your personality), custom ROM your phone and have access to apps specifically made for rooted devices directly on the play store. You control the device so that it suits you.
8. Dropbox- Love cloud storage well Samsung is offering 50gb free of charge to S3 owners for 2 years on Dropbox. Backup music, video, photos(this can be done automatically), documents etc. Who doesnât want this amount of free cloud storage?(You have to complete a certain amount of steps to get the free storage but none requires any credit card details or anything to complicated) (N.B Not everyone will be offered this bonus as carriers have been known to have stopped Samsung from offering this to customers)
9. Screen- Itâs bigger but not to big. It has 441ppi vs iPhone5âs 326ppi plus the Amoled screen creates beautiful colors.
I also found no problems when using one hand, and I have medium hands if not small hands.
10. LED indicator- A small LED on the top of your device shows what notifications you got by distinguishing them with colours(For example blue for email, green for charged) This means you can see what the notification was about without putting your screen on. It is extremely useful feature for those than hate wasting time.
11. Android features-Widgets, live wallpapers, Google Now and all the beauty of android, widgets on the lockscreen etc
12. Samsung added features
a. Smartstay- won't turn the screen off if you are still looking at it.
b. Smartpause- pauses a video when you turn around and turns it back on when you turn back
c. Eye controlled webpage scrolling
d. Airview- check link to learn more http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsung-Galaxy-S-4-display-Air-View-and-Air-Gesture-demoed-on-video_id40881
e. Infrared TV remote
f. External temperature and humidity sensors
g. Use the phone while using gloves
h. S Health- useful for health enthusiasts
i. S Translator- itâs all in the name a translator
j. Blocking Mode- activate it to block things like calls, notifications, messages, LED indicator etc
k. Power Saving Mode- Can be used to save power by limiting the processor speeds, turning of Haptic feedback, using less power for the screen and changing the color in the stock browser and email app
l. Home screen modes- for beginners it makes the home screen setup easier
m. Etc- I could go on but check the link to see even more features http://www.phonearena.com/news/Samsung-Galaxy-S4-10-exclusive-or-little-known-features-review_id41541
13. Camera- It has a 13mp camera vs iPhone 5âs 8mp. It has more features than than the iPhoneâs camera which makes it even better.
a. Dual shot- take photos from both cameras so that you can include the photographer in a photo
b. Photo with audio message- record a message before or after a photo to add to a photo
c. Eraser shot- can remove unwanted moving content
d. Drama shot- takes pictures of a moving object and puts the moving object through the whole picture
e. More but those are the best
14. Multitasking- watch videos while online, write an email while watching a video, send a message while surfing the web, you can split the screen in two so you can multitask without a bother, this cannot be done on the iPhone 5.
15. Durability- The S4 does not suffer from scratches like the iphone 5 where the back of the phone is aluminium and scratches really easy, the S4 does not suffer this fate.

Hope this helped
Enjoy your new phone (no matter which one it is)
