I rooted my kindle fire and then flashed cm7 on it but now for some reason whenever i try to go into usb mass storage it connects and then disconnects! my computer doesnt recognize it as a removable disk but if i right click my computer and go to manage and device manager it shows its there as an android why wont it connect for mass storage?
A. Hi Arun, just one point to make here - you have lost Kindle Fire warranty when you rooted it. If you had instead Nook Tablet (that has much better performance and screen than Fire), you could've "rooted" Nook via microSD boot card and could switch back and forth between different OS versions by switching the microSD cards. Nooks have microSD slot while Kindles don't.

Q. My friend has just given me their kindle to put some ebooks on it, i already know how to put my own ebooks on it but she has lost the kindle lead and is using a blackberry usb cable
The end result is my laptop wont pick up the kindle, the kindle usb light is on and its charging but it wont give me the directory folders or even reconise anything is plugged in, is this because its the wrong lead or is it my laptop?
A. You might actually have to turn the kindle on...so slide or press the power button...also, if there is a password, you have to log into the kindle before the pc will show the contents.
