Q. a couple weeks ago i bought an ipod touch 4 gen. and today i saw on the apple website that ios 5 will be available on it when it comes out. but my question is will, when i download it, all the new things (<im sorry couldnt think of the right word) like the new notifications and photo editors etc. be put on my ipod or will they only be on the next generation of apple products
A. No, iOS 5 is fully compatible with the 4th Generation iPod Touch. You will have all the features of iOS 5.0 on your iPod Touch 4th Generation. You simply have to plug in your iPod Touch to your Computer and press "Update", and then it will automatically update your iPod Touch to iOS 5.0, when it is available.

NOTE: Eventually your iPod Touch will no longer be able to update to the latest firmware, but that is not the case until probably iOS 6 or 7. For example the iPod Touch 2nd Generation cannot update to iOS 4 with all the features because it is too slow to handle Multitasking. The iPod Touch 3rd and 4th Generation can handle it because they have more RAM and a Faster Processor.

A. a iOS is an iPhone Operating System. All iPhones have an iOS otherwise the phone wouldn't work. There are different versions of the iOS like there are different versions of Windows Operarting Systems.
Most currently there is the iOS 3+, iOS 4+, and iOS 5+.
Older devices may not be able to upgrade higher then the iOS3. Ex: iPhone 3G
The free text messaging is called iMessage. iMessage is only available between iOS 5 users.
So for example I have iOS 5 on my 3gs, but my wife has iOS 4. We can't iMessage eachother. Until she upgrades to the iOS 5. This means you can ONLY iMessage other iOS 5 users. So no free text messaging from iphone to blackberry or iphone to windows mobile.

Absolutely MASSIVE 23.6GB Cisco IOS Library collected over three years from various sources that includes some VERY hard to find IOS software for Cisco network appliances. Obsessivly driven to find every esoteric IOS image possibly available on the public internet to fuel a private cisco appliance lab I amassed this insane Cisco IOS collection some of which have NEVER before been available via p2p, russian OR chinese web forums, ed2k and usenet!
Certainly by no means is everything included however if your looking to learn Cisco fundamentals having this IOS software library will definitely be an asset! Peer sharing made assembling this library a possibility! Hording it all on a private tftp server? Not any more :D
Included IOS Library may have some duplicates. Understandably sifting through 20+GB of IOS bins and sorting out duplicates has been a priority however it's possible some may have been missed. Even the most obsessive terabyte stuffing packrats do get strained by sorting such a MASSIVE archive. Packaging alone it took three days :)
All the IOS bins were winrar packaged for both torrent and usenet so naturally PAR's and sfv are included and this is also available on usenet in alt.binaries.x You may at your own discretion exclude downloading the par files as they add 6GB to the download...
